Exceeded ou rexpectations. Hard to imagine anything could reasonably be much better in a Florida resort.
Good beach and pools, elaborate grounds. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

We are always glad to hear that our guest had a memorbale stay at the Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort. Thank you for your comments! All of our rooms have kitchens which the guest can use to cook their own meals or several great restaurants in the area within walking distance. Our heated oceanside pool and hot tub are available from early morning till late afternoon. After a day at the pool or beach, as it is also right out the backdoor You can tour the 3 mile broadwalk adjacent to the ocean with it's shops, restaurants and night life. Our beach was voted as one of the best family beaches in the state of Florida and we are very proud of that. We are so glad when our guests find not only great value but also are able to experience an enjoyable stay. One that allows our staff the opportunity to assist and help with your needs. Thank you again so much for staying with us and we look forward to seeing on your next stay.

We stayed here for two nights before a cruise leaving from Miami. We flew into the Fort Lauderdale airport and got a cab because it was late and the shuttle was no longer running. When we got to the hotel, we were greeted by the front desk attendant, who was friendly. When I called to make our reservation, I asked for a renovated room, if possible. The person on the phone made a special note of my request, so I thought we would be staying in a renovated room. However, when we got there to check in, the front desk attendant almost laughed at me when I made mention of our request. She informed me that none of the rooms had been renovated to her knowledge. I was really bothered by this, because there are pictures of renovated rooms on the website. This was really false advertising in my opinion.

On a positive note, the front desk attendant gave us two room keys - one to a petite suite, which we had booked, and one to a queen suite, which we could have for a small upgrade fee. I have never had any hotel give me a CHOICE of rooms! I really appreciated this, and we ended up choosing the queen suite.

Our room was (obviously) not renovated, but it was tolerable. My husband and I are middle class folks, but enjoy a clean, nice hotel room. We were disappointed by the outdated furnishings, tile floor, and sub-par bathrooms. The weather was unseasonably cool, and the hotel doesn't have heat, so we about froze both nights. All we could do was turn the air conditioning off, but there was no heat! I guess that's what you get for a Floridian hotel!

The mall downstairs is mostly empty, except for a store with REALLY strong incense - the smell really got to us! The food court is sketchy - we never ate there. O'Malley's is great - we ate there for dinner one night and loved it. The breakfast is also good - we loved sitting by the window and looking out at the broadwalk, palm trees, and pool. You absolutely CANNOT beat the view.

The proximity to the broadwalk entertainment, restaurants, and shops is really fantastic. For the price, this hotel will get you a great pool, hot tub, and beach access....but not much else.

We chose a different hotel farther from the beach after our cruise, because we needed the creature comforts of heat, an updated bathroom, and new furnishings. After this hotel is completely renovated, we may give it another chance.

We appreciate your comments. We are focusing on completing all of our renovations as quickly as possible and in doing this doing everything possible not disrupt our guest stay. We have been able to complete the both the 1st and 2 stages of our total 3 stage renovation project. Some of the projects accomplished have included the hallways upgrading, new carpet in throughout all hallways, a brand new guest lounge area that has been furnished with the look of historic furniture from the era when the "Grand Lady" was first built and also includes full Wi-Fi access, the historic renovations of our lobby and it's new historic look furniture in the lobby, new ceiling tin's throughout the entire hotel, a new security door leading to the hotel floors that only our guest or security personnel can access. The third step to start in Spring 2010 will be to prepare the building for concrete restoration and painting and then add the architectural features to the building bringing the "Grand Old Lady" back to its original fame and glory that it once enjoyed in the 1920's and 30's. We value all of our guest and their comments to help us to make their stay enjoyable. Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to seeing you on your next stay in our newly renovated historic look property. We strive to give our entire guest a personal touch and our staff makes every effort to assure our guest of that. Our Winter Season has been unusual as the cold snaps have lingered much longer than normal as the rest of the country is experiencing. O’Malley’s Ocean bar and restaurant is loaded with great food, incredible views of the ocean and a helpful staff! You can enjoy the 3 mile broad walk and with it's shops, beach, eating establishments and a biking, jogging or walking pace. All of you our rooms come with complinmentary breakfast for two daily during your stay. Thank you again and we will be working diligently to finish our renovations for your future stay.

We reserved a "queen suite". What a joke. You could touch the fridge while lying in the bed. The room was tiny. The plumbing in the bathroom was very noisy and the toilet "ran" all night long. The motor on the fridge was loud and since it was right next to the bed, it kept us up most of the night. The walls are thin so you can hear everyone/everything. There was no carpeting in our room, which made the noises even louder. We were supposed to stay 7 nights, we packed up and left after the first night!

We stayed from 12-27-09 to 1-3-10. We got to the resort very early and our room was ready and they let us check in and even gave us vouchers for the free breakfast. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool staff were the best, thanks to Debbie the pool manager who was very professional and had your chairs ready for you in the morning. There was one elevator that was out of service for a few days and we had a few issues with our room, but they were fixed right away, It's not The Plaza, but we had a great time and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to all the staff. Great job!!!

We are delighted to hear that you had a wonderful stay with us at the Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort. It was nice to hear about the pool staff as they work exceptionally hard to make every guest feel special. As our pool overlooks the ocean and is heated it allows our guest a chance to relax and enjoy the pool and the view. We also offer deluxe continental breakfast with any of our rooms for two. When we have situations or issues our entire staff is instructed to handle these in a prompt fashion to make sure that our guests stay is memorable and enjoyable. Thank you so much for staying with us and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.

I was just searching for this hotel again and re read the reviews. I felt the need to comment and share our experience. My husband and I stayed here with our 1,3, and 4 year olds several years ago. We are planning to return. It was under renovation then, too, but everything about our stay was great. Even back then. We could see the potential in the building.

We picked the property from a AAA book because it was beachfront and priced right. We were pleasantly surprised by the Broadwalk and the hotel's great proximity to restaurants and shops along the beach. We spent a lot of time on the Broadwalk both day and night. There was always something to do. We also spent a lot of time at the restaurant/bar out by the pool. They had great live music and were really sweet to our kids. The pools were outstanding. The adult pool is huge and our kids had the kiddie pool to themselves most days. It was really nice to be able to step over to the beach when we wanted to.

We appreciated having a kitchen in our room. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning. When we were there, there was also a food court in the lower part of the building. We ate there several times as well.

The staff was very kind and helpful to us and seemed to make extra effort toward pleasing our little ones.

Thank you for taking the time to share with all of our past guests and future hotel guest your experience while staying at our property. We value our customers and want everyone to have a pleasurable and memorable experience as guests of our hotel. The hotel will be continuing its renovations and will strive to excel in the upgrading of our outside areas of the hotel in restoring it back to the original look and feel of the of the era of the 1920’s when it was first built in Hollywood Beach. The hotel is ideally located right on the ocean and has our heated ocean view pool available for our guest along with our hot tub located at the pool. The kiddie’s pool is ideal for the young ones and is a perfect way for them to enjoy the pool area. The broadwalk area has retail shops and restaurants all of which are within walking distance. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.
