“A very attractive park - great for a peaceful day out”

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this park. There was a very inexpensive fee for parking ($2). There are short loop trails leading from the car park. The longer of these is called the Rocky Creek trail. It took 10-15 minutes to reach the small beach. We sat and watched ospreys diving to capture fish. Along the trail there are plenty of benches. From the beach, you can walk to an observation tower. Unfortunately, whilst we were there it was being repaired so we could not climb it. Further along the trail, there is an elevated board walk, leading to the Anclote River Park. There is a further trail leading from the car park - it's called the shady lagoon loop. This is very short and does not offer any views of the river.

This is a beautiful park with two main trails (approximately 2 miles long), and you can find an observation tower where you can watch the Gulf of Mexico. I've been here few times and I always see turtles, eagles (and dolphines as well) and many more very interesting things. If you van to relax and enjoy the silence and the sound of nature, you must visit this park.
You can go alone or with you family, suitable for everybody.

Worth the drive and effort! Take a cooler with drinks, and a sandwich, and just relax! Great Florida Park!

Great park to take a leasurly walk, you may see Eagles and other birds along with turtle and more. It's about afive min walk to the gulf, the fishing is good here. There is a board walk connecting to the fishing park. A very good place to walk your dog. This is not a swim area.
There is a 2dollar parking fee.

What a great place. The park is about 50 acres of pristine Fl forest with many animals and trails going down to an all natural beach on the Gulf. Have seen eagles, osprey, owls, golpher tortuises, etc. there. There is also a large tower their which gives you a better view out to Anclote Key which has an old historic lighthouse. Good fishing and dogs are allowed (just clean up). There is also a board walk that takes you to the Gulf Park in Holiday which has fishing piers and a dog park.
