Yesterday I had an airboat tour with my family at Mack's fish camp. I can say by now that it was one of the most wonderful experiences i have made in my entire life and definetely the highlight of our holiday.
Marshall who was our guide was amazing: he explained everything from plants and flowers to animals and their habitat, he answered all our questions and gave very interesting information about the everglades, its bio-system and its history. It is really obvious how well he knows the nature around his home, as his family has lived there for over 80 years,
Marshall also let me and my dad ride the airboat which was a lot of fun. We saw different wildlife and could also get into the water at the "glory hole".
As some other reviewers already said, this was an AUTHENTIC everglades tour! I was impressed by the way the family lives in harmony with nature and I had such a great time, away from the usual rush, common in the US. I wish only the best to the family and recommend this tour to everybody who loves nature, who is truly interested in making a great and non-typical, non-commercial experience in the everglades!!
