My Husband and I have visited Joanie's before for lunch and it was DELICIOUS, but I'm writing because of our experience today. We were out for a motorcycle ride and ended up in Havana late in the afternoon. We stopped by Joanie's hoping for a bite to eat and one of their craft beers, but we noticed that they were setting up for dinner guests with reserved signs on the tables. The kitchen was closed due to dinner prep, but the lovely woman behind the counter removed the dinner settings from one of the tables and allowed us to sit and enjoy a beer before moving on. It was perfect even though we didn't get any food, encountering such a happy and accommodating individual really made our day. Go to Joanie's for the amazing food and beer/wine selection (and anything else you could want), and go back for the hospitality and warm and fuzzies you get from your visit.
