Great shopping, a variety of restaurants to choose from. Adult and family entertainment. And the beach, always close by. Close to the Aventura Mall (a major high end shopping destination,) Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, Gulfstream Park is an attraction unto itself. Plenty of live free entertainment, stores to buy nice stuff, reasonably priced and high end restaurants, a very nice place to be as part of your vacation. Of course there are the ponies and gambling, if this is your thing. All enclosed in several hundred acres. We go there all the time and are never disappointed (Although I may have a "beef" with one of their restaurants and one of their specialty stores. We just don't go to them. :-) A very nice stay.

Came to Gulfstream as part of a 250 people group for a celebration. Good facility with tiered seating toward the stage. Bar was a bit understaffed to handle crowd. Buffet line was long, needed better set-up and crowd management. Food was tasty and plentiful.

besides the horse racing, nothing is good in this place. We drove from Kendall for a nice night out because they advertise this is the best thing since slice bread. We get there and is empty for a Sat. night. The casino is so small that if you blink you will miss it,no chance of getting lost in there.
There is a whole lot of old people playing machines, felt like an old age home on a field trip. Unless you like betting on horses there is no reason to walk in the casino. Maybe the restaurants are better but i didn't eat in them. We left and went to Hard Rock.

After checking out the website, we decided that this would be a good place to spend an evening between all the shopping and the casino. Unfortunately, we did not go when there was live horse racing, which is obviously the real purpose of this attraction. The website advertised having 2 floors of casinos, however, when we got there we found 2 rooms on each floor jammed packed with slot machines, and not much of anything else. It appeared as if it was designed as a place for the wives to pass the time while their husbands bet on the ponies. After spending time trying to find any machine that held our interest, we decided to walk around the shopping village. It was early evening and most of the shops appeared closed. The only stores that seemed open were Crate and Barrel and The Container Store. Not exactly places to shop while on vacation. I would go back only if there was live horse racing, otherwise, its not worth the trip.

Place was really cute, was like it's own little town. Tons of restuarants where you can sit outside or inside. Nice looking bars. Casino area was a bit small but fine, not overcrowded.
