Have been to The Port several times. Always have had great food, great service and more importantly a great time.

Food is fantastic, love the Onion Rings as an appetizer. Well love the coconut chicken too...alright the wings are great too. lol

Known for their Alligator Bites and the Oysters. Good size portions and great prices.

Chicken, Steaks and Seafood...something for everyone. They have a full bar and make some great specialty drinks.

Dining on the deck is beautiful, eating inside overlooking the lake and canals is absolutely wonderful as well. The Bar inside is a hidden little gem.

Again, have eaten there several times and never have been disappointed. Have been there for birthday celebrations, graduation parties and intimate dinner with my guy.

You won't be disappointed. Yes they have discounts for Solivita, they discount for their community and also other local communities.

Maybe I'll see you there!

Only at The Port in “suburban” Haines City do you have to pay $7.99 for Alligator Bites, an appetizer to enhance delightful seafood, salads, pastas, and yummy steaks and chicken—whatever floats your boat. Compared to restaurants that overload plates, The Port has reasonably sized portions, what you’d expect in Europe. Not all Americans eat more than they need. I had the Early Bird grilled mahi-mahi served with a vegetable melody and baked sweet potato for $9.99, the most expensive Early Bird item. A chicken breast “cooked your way” is only $7.99, but Early Bird specials end at 6:00. Both interior air-conditioned seating and exterior screened areas have phenomenal views of Lake Hatchineha. Recorded music is a bit too loud, but after a few of The Port’s specialty cocktail, “Whipped Sunset” that Ali from Solivita holds in the photo below, who cares? Whipped Sunset is grenadine, pineapple juice, whipped cream, and vodka. Yum…sounds like a dessert, but that came in the form of the “Orange Kist Cheesecake” depicted in the photo.

Service staff, Daran, Dawn, Joey, Paige, and Russell on a Tuesday night were courteous and efficient. I never had to request a water refill. As guests poured in and service slowed for late comers, an impressive lake view made the time pass too quickly. The Port does not rush guests out the door, we sat long after finishing the meal and enjoyed waning sunlight, but there is no sunset view over the water.

16000 Hatchineha Road, Haines City, www.ThePort.pro, 863/949-4835. Open 7 days a week, Early Bird specials until 6:00. Residents of the active adult community, Solivita, receive a 10% discount with resident photo ID.

My hubby, myself, and our mothers went here for lunch on a Saturday. They were not busy at all and it was pleasant to sit on the screened porch for lunch. Our mothers both ordered the Mahi Mahi and were very pleased with their choice. I had the Tropical Chicken Salad and it was very fresh and satisfying. My husband got Gumbo and middleneck clams. We enjoyed watching the activity on the boat ramp beside the restaurant. It can get a little noisy on the porch with the comings and goings but overall was not bad. We will definitely be back again!

Not only is the food here delicious, but everything else is awesome as well. To go to the Port is an all around fun event. It is located at the end of Hatchineha Rd. (end of civilization). To get there is not convenient but well worth the trip. Great menu, great staff, and great atmosphere. I even met a real cowboy in the bar, you don't see, much less, get to meet real Florida cowboys anymore. I called the location the end of civilization because when you get there you are located right in the middle of the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes which has recently been designated as the Northern Everglades because the lakes in area are the headwaters of the Everglades. So, it is very easy to see all kinds of wildlife as well. You won't be disappointed to make the trip off the beaten path. The Port anything BUT a theme park. To me, the Port represents the REAL Florida.

There were 9 of us who had lunch. Some of us have been there several times and 5 of our group have only heard about the place. Clam chowder, gator bites, salad, fried clams, fried frog legs, grouper sandwich, smoked fish dip, blackened catfish are just some of the food we ordered. Everyone raved about the food. Prepared perfectly for a reasonable price. We had a great server Staci who was attentive to our every need. It's too hot now to sit on the deck at lunchtime so we ate inside where the air conditioning was great! Of course, we'll be back.
