“Great new chef and menu with some old standbys!”
Reviewed August 22, 2014

I have posted a review on Peg's in the past. But let me just say WOW! Great food taken to a whole new level. Truly the best gazpacho I have ever had with a great presentation. A group of 6 had the appetizer sampler highlighted by marinated manchego, housemade hummus, and baba ganoush - yummy and enjoyed by all. The weekly specials are fresh and varied. They seem to provide Spanish influenced Florida fare. I can personally speak to the ceviche, gazpacho, Spanish pork tacos, and the divine dessert - Boudino which highlighted the malt from the craft beer made at Peg's. And yes they kept some of the old favorites as well! And to top it off the new chef came out to introduce himself and make sure we were happy! Welcome Chris!

“Craft Beer Paired With Fresh Cooked Food”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

To The Point: Excellent Freshly Cooked Mexican Food and Great Craft Beer. Excellent Employees, Wonderful Location...Not One Complaint.

I absolutely LOVED everything about this establishment, the best detour we have ever taken. This Charming bungalow style Mexican restaurant has a lot to offer.

A great location! Got there before the Pub/Restaurant opened (see hours below) so we walked around the quaint old Florida style area which is a nice section of shops, restaurants, and of course the beach.

Indoor and Outdoor seating is available as well as covered "patio" seating. We sat inside the pub area at a table (tables are limited but you can sit right at the bar as well) It seem to get pretty busy around 7PM (we were there on a Friday).

The food was superb. Both my husband and I got the Burritos Mojados which were large servings! They were cooked fresh and were piping hot when served and packed full of chicken. Also, I was excited to finally try the "Cream and Sugar Please" which was just as tasty as wonderful reviews it was given.

I have to compliment our server Genesis (name s/p?). We were there for a while and she was welcoming, knowledgeable of the beer menu as well as the food menu, was able to give us suggestions and very personable. Food was cooked quickly and she got it to us quickly. She was alert and was there when we needed a refill.

Looking forward to our next trip up to Pegs Cantina.

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

Whenever in a new area we always seek out local breweries to try. Found this on a map and thank goodness for GPS! Once we were in Gulfport I fell in love. A quite beach town full of bungalow houses and laid back people. The street Peg's is on has quaint shops and restaurants. Peg's patio was great fun, the wait staff and people there were very friendly and most of all the beer was delicious! If you want to get away from the tourism of the gulf beaches go to Gulfport!

“Excellent beer, pizza, wrap, atmosphere and service”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

We sat outside. So nice like sitting in an eclectic garden. Our beers were so smooth and tasty. Ordered the fitness pizza and vegetaki wrap. Both were so good and so fresh that we shared them. If you want to eat healthy and stick to your diet there are excellent choice where you don't have to give up taste.

“True Mexican Tase and Microbrewed Beer”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

We love Pegs; if you want great Mexican food and love atmosphere I would recommend Pegs. Sit outside, bring your dog; sip on Sangria made in house or microbrewed beer and have some of the best Mexican food. Locally owned, no reservations and a discount for paying in cash. We have gone here with parties of 10 and have had a table reserved but for our latest visit, we waited for a table outside and love watching the people walk by to and from the beach in this artsy part of town called Gulfport. Enjoy!
