Stopped in there to take my dad to lunch. They had a special (shrimp & deviled crab) and we both got it. It was delicious! Service was friendly and fast. My husband & kids are not big seafood eaters, so this was a nice treat going there. They were packed as we were leaving, and it was a Wednesday afternoon. That says a lot.

People come from Jacksonville to eat at Corky Bell's. Baker County & St. John's all love Corky Bell's. Even Yankees can tell those are the best cheese grits. Get your seafood how you like it. Fried, grilled, broiled or blackened. Tuesday is my favorite with All You Can Eat Flounder. Their shrimp is lightly coated, I won't call that breaded or battered, just seasoned. Try the half & half for a small sample or Captain's Platter for a feast.

Corky Bell's is a restaurant to get a fried shrimp fix! This is a plain old local restaurant with servers who go out of their way to make sure you have everything to make your dining experience a positive one. Fish dishes can be prepared just about any way. The same goes for the shrimp. We love their hushpuppies. Servings are generous - we think you can't go wrong with the senior plate - it is more than ample. The restaurant offers specials, mostly AUCE. Most choices include 2 sides - vegetables included. You can mix seafood - like oysters, shrimp and fish selections. There are appetizers which are large enough to share with everyone at your table. No alcohol at this location - only southern sweet iced tea and sodas, etc. Nothing that really stands out here, but you will go back if you live in this area, because there aren't that many restaurants that are this reasonable AND Corky Bell's has been in the area for a long time and knows how to cook seafood.

I've eaten there several times. Not much atmosphere but it does have good food and value for your money. The first time I ordered a senior plate I thought they had made a mistake and given me a regular plate. They have generous portions. Service is always good. Good family restaurant.
