“Welcoming and Comfortable”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

My husband and I recently stayed at the River Park Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The B&B is located across the street from a lovely park and it is caddy-corner to the original spring that the town is known for.
We had a ground floor room near the front of the house. The room had adequate space for our luggage as well as a wardrobe to hang clothes, a dresser, a vanity, and a large chair for relaxing.
A small television was included in the room as well.

The bathroom was large, filled with plenty of towels, which were changed daily.
The shower holds shampoo, body soap and conditioner in a dispenser on the wall.
The water in the shower was hot.

Pat, the owner, has many amenities that add a personal touch, from something as thoughtful as a night-lite in the bathroom.

On the first evening of our stay, we were greeted with fresh oatmeal raisin cookies when we entered the door from dinner. They were fabulous!

The second floor features a large, screened-in porch, with a refrigerator filled with complimentary water and soda.
Breakfast was served between 8:30 and 9:00. We enjoyed fruit salad, eggs, bacon one day, sausage another, toast and oatmeal with cinnamon apples. Quite a plentiful meal to begin the day.
Pat was quite pleasant and accommodating, making us feel quite welcome. I would high recommend staying at the River Park Inn if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay.

We stayed at the River Park Inn for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn is very clean and the breakfasts were delicious and filling. Pat did a great job and was a wonderful host. The inn is located just off the water in the city's historic district. It was fun walking to the antique shops and visiting a couple of the area restaurants. We would highly recommend this B&B to any of our friends. It's a great place to stay!

Room Tip: All of the guest rooms are super clean and beautifully appointed.

We only stayed for one night on our way travelling back through Florida to Atlanta airport and what a wonderful find. This is a delightful little place of the main routes but well worth a trip. The owner Pat made us feel most welcome and told us all about the springs history and the special memory Christmas trees that were on display. she also recommended the local Italian restaurant which was very good and even gave us a discount voucher. The room (blue room) was charming and very comfortable. Breakfast the next day was lovely and plentiful and we met and chatted to another couple staying, we were not made to feel that we needed to hurry away. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes to get away from the chain hotels/motels for something more personal.

gm199, Thank you for your kind review. Sharing your positive experience helps everyone and we love to share... great food, good restaurants, local history and the very meaningful holiday Parade of Trees that will return again next year beginning the first Saturday in December. Hope you will be able to return then - if not sooner!

I spent just one night here at the B&B, but it was a memorable stay. The property is lovely and quaint. I loved being able to relax up on the screened porch on the second floor in the evening after taking a walk through the park next to St. John's River. Pat was a wonderful hostess, she made our stay so comfortable and her breakfast was fantastic. We stayed in the new room which is just off the main floor front porch, it was comfy and I loved being able to look out onto the porch with the gardens in front of the house. I loved the gardens that were situated around the entire house. Pat is taking great care to keep the property and grounds in fantastic shape. Pat recommended a cute neighborhood Italian restaurant right around the corner and it too was fantastic! When I return to the area I will stay again at this property.

The Inn is in the quiet town of Green Cove springs. Although qiet and relaxing it is only about 30 minutes to the beaches and St. Augustine. In the evening you can return to Green Cove Springs and relax. The Inn is the cleanest Inn we have stayed in. Pat the owner is very informative and will do all she can to help the traveler out. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is quite good. The only issue is an intermittent WiFi service but we were there to relax. You are a long block from the St Johns River. There is a unique public pool across the street in the park. The pool is spring fed and at such a volume that chemicals aren't needed. The local dining is casual and there are just a few choices. Again if you are looking for a little peace and quiet this is the place.

Room Tip: The lower, front room is newly done and no stairs to climb once you are inside. The second floor roo...

I just spent four wonderful days enjoying the hospitality of Pat at the River Park Inn. If you love old Florida and want to enjoy the quiet of the day next to beautiful live oaks and the St. John's River then this is for you! Pat's breakfasts were fabulous and the rooms lovely. My girl friends and I could not have found a more lovely spot to reconnect and visit than in the River Park Inn. It is a quick ride to St. Augustine but there are some nice local places to dine and visit as well. Walking through the park and along the pier at sunset was delightful!
