“Don't NOT go here!”
Reviewed April 3, 2011

We stayed at Marco Island for 10 days and this was the ONLY restaurant we ate at twice. Get away from the busy money-grubbing aspect that you can't seem to escape on Marco, g back in time and enjoy life as it probably was 30 years ago on this island. GREAT PEOPLE, QUALITY FOOD, FAIR PRICES AND A NEAT LOCATION.

“Excellent fresh seafood with great views”
Reviewed March 27, 2011

Little Bar got a few more fans after our recent visit. The Buffalo Frogs Legs appetizer ($8) were tender, lightly fried and delicious.

Blackened Mahi-Mahi ($20) was spiced right and fresh as can be. The grilled snapper ($24) was equally as good. Among the variety of starch choices we all picked the baked sweet potato which was a nice change of pace. All the members of our party really enjoyed the food.

As another reviewer mentioned, the Key Lime Pie ($5) was much less impressive. It can use a lot less whip and much more lime. It wasn't very flavorful and lacked any punch. Better deserts would have given this place 5 stars.

Service was great, and we had a table outside with a nice view overlooking the water.

“What a find!”
Reviewed March 27, 2011

We just visited Maco for our 4th season. On this trip , we had our final dinner at The Little Bar in Goodland. When we first arrived, we were not quite sure what to expect. The building is a fairly plain looking one but when you walk in, you find a gem. It is like you stepped back in time. We ate on the porch outside, dockside. While the building on the outside around back looks more Spanish the ambience felt almost French. We had a lovely server named Danielle. She was amazing with our 2 kids. and truly delightful. We had the best soft shell crabs in the world. The key lime pie is to die for and the wine list is fine too. It is a lovely hideaway worth visiting. We cannot wait till our next trip. We will make it our first night out!

“Great meal at Little Bar”
Reviewed March 6, 2011

We loved Little Bar! My husband had the conch chowder and adored it. We both had the pecan herb crusted snapper, which was a special the night we were there. Absolutely delicous. We sat outside, as it is so warm. We went on a Monday night and the place was packed. We got in at 6, but by 7 there was a long waiting line. Better make reservations. Also, don't judge the place by the way it looks from the street. We were very surprised when we went inside.

“conch chowder to die for”
Reviewed March 5, 2011

We went for dinner on a friday evening and managed to get a table with very little wait. The service was fast, efficient and professional. We started with conch chowder with a dash of sherry. It was the best we have ever had. This alone would be worth the trip to Marco Island. I had stone crab for my entree. My wife had the snapper. Both absolutely excellent. Even with a bottle of Pinot Grigio the bill only came to about $100. Terrific value.
