“Overpriced!”

Ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer for $9.99. Got four shrimp.
$5.00 cup of vegetable crab soup was awful.
Salad bar was sad.

“What a waste of calories”
Reviewed March 25, 2011

We went there with another couple, and it was against my instincts after reading recent comments however, they said it was not as bad as I thought. The parking lot was full, so maybe I was wrong, and the restaurant was pretty occupied. The waiter tried to be attentive, but it was obvious that he was confused as he took the order. When the food arrived, he brought one item wrong (wrong cheese on the burger), had no idea which of us had ordered what.
The report of the grouper sandwich was dry and tasteless...the burger was incorrectly cooked (well done instead of medium), and my crabcake sandwich would have made Mrs Paul proud (loaded with filler that was tasteless, breading, and no crab to speak of).
The highest praise came for the chicken--not too bad!!! This place was a gastromonical disaster. The final blow was when the waiter brought back the credit card receipt he had charged someone elses meal to our card even though he had brought the proper check initially to our table. He became apparently confused at the bar when he handed them in for validation.
My advice on this place is keep on driving to Marco and go to McD'S or BK.

“YUCK! Don't Waste Your Money or Time!”
Reviewed March 20, 2011

I have only one thing to say about this place . . . what a waste of a beautiful location! The service was awful, the food was horrid. Grouper was served cold and basically raw. The appetizers took 40 minutes to arrive and then the meals came out shortly after, cold and undercooked. The people sitting next to us said the same and they weren't even served all their meals at the same time. One person in their party didn't even get their food until about 20 minutes after everyone else at their table was served. Never again! I was surprised the parking lot was full, but a lot of first time visits from out of state. I am sure they won't be back again either. Wouldn't even consider bringing the leftovers home to my dog. Afraid of food poisoning.

“Had better frozen fish sticks than this place!”
Reviewed March 19, 2011

Husband and I were spending a weekend in Marco and wanted to try a casual local seafood restaurant for dinner. We had been to Snook Inn and knew it was good, but extremely busy on a Saturday night. Our hotel recommended this place as a "ultra casual" seafood restaurant. We were seated outside which was a plus even without reservations which they do take. Menu was simple but overpriced in my opinion compare to most seafood places. Oysters were okay a few big ones and about 1/2 very small for a dozen. Husband ordered 1/4 lb shrimp and received 5 non-devined size shrimp that looked like they had been in a steamer or fridge for quite some time. We both ordered the grouper basket... wrong thing to do. We basically got 5 fish sticks that had a funny taste to them and that you could tell had been previously frozen due to the discoloration of the fish and breading on the ends. Waste of time and money... will never go back and definitely won't recommend unless you just have to have a perfect sunset and a so-so salad bar.
