Average. Average ....and hot. Food was ok, seafood was fresh prior to them freezing it....I can tell the difference.

Most of the dining is outside and there is a bug similar to the mosquito they call a no seeum that seems to be predominate in south Florida, it bites. There is no air conditioning in the Florida summer and I could not finish my meal which was quite tasty.. screens and air conditioning could add to a better experience...the food was not bad had the snapper

Not sure what is happening there , it appears that our server we would visit for lunch a couple times was not there anymore... .. overwhelmingly smelled like cigarettes. They were out of some items on the menu, and many of the folks at the bar were speaking very vulgar....maybe this time of year is bad time to visit, we will try again next winter. Good luck.

We ALWAYS make a stop at Marker 8 (now 8.5) for dinner. The waitresses make you feel at home and the food is great. No one has had a bad meal. View of the water is lovely.

Hard to believe the bad reviews at this restaurant. If you want Sheraton or Hilton, then go there. This is a laid back, casual, on the water restaurant. Fully screened in so there are no bug worries. We had breakfast 2 times in one week, it was so great the first time we went back for a second round, and were extremely pleased both times. The servers are all very friendly, efficient and made us feel right at home. Our omelettes came with choices of sides, including, potatoes, grits, toast, English muffins, biscuits and whatever else you could want. Unending coffee, which was tasty and hot. Great rustic ambiance overlooking a waterway, docking available for boats... They even ring the big bell when a boat goes by to let the know the restaurant is open and welcomes them. Don't go here expecting fancy table cloths and big chain restaurant food. If you want a really tasty breakfast at really reasonable prices, served by friendly down home waitresses, go out of your way for this one, and you won't be disappointed! Next year we intend to have lunch or dinner as well, but breakfast will be a "must"!
