Although located off a very busy street down from the mall, the hotel is located far enough back that highway noise is not an issue. You cannot see the hotel from that main road even though it has four floors.
As a LQ Rewards member, check-in was a breeze. Just showed my ID and received my keys.
Our King room included a Samsung flat panel TV, a work table with chair and side chair, and a recliner. I noticed that the bathroom amenities are down to shampoo and soap; no more hand lotion. Coffee maker is a "single cup" type, which seems to be what many hotels are using now.
Hot shower fans will like that the hot water really is HOT. Many hotels have lowered the hot water temps to "very warm."
The radio is one of those cheap Sunbeams which can maybe get one or two FM stations clearly.
We had no problem with noise and we were on first floor, just around from the pool.
Breakfast was the typical LQ fare: two cereals (looked like Corn Flakes and Raisin Bran); yogurt; bananas and apples; two "you make 'em" waffle irons; bagels /English muffins; hard boiled eggs; apple and orange juice.
Coffee was from a large dispensing machine rather than the insulated "pump' carafes. Just regular and decaf, when many hotels also offer a "bold" dark roast brew.
Another reviewer mentioned "the Mexican restaurant next door." It has moved. But if you want Mexican then you want La Tienda (see the many reviews here of it, including mine).
I would stay here again.
