Stopped by looking for a place close to the springs to stay and this hotel was very clean, nice counter personnel and great restaurants close by to eat. There was a Mexican restaurant next door that we tried and it was very good. Pool area was clean and well kept. Breakfast was good and they had left it open to noon when we checked out it was still open.

Over all hotel is not bad but it is not La Quinta.
Rooms are ok.The room we had was ok but Bathroom had a very bad odor of urine it was so strong that you have to stop breathing for a while you go to bathroom .
front desk was very good
location is very good if you are here for UF.everything is nearby.

We were on our way home from a trip and wanted to stop in Gainesville, having never been there. We saw the La Quinta sign. It's hard to find the entrance to the hotel, especially at night, but that is my only, and minor, complaint. It was around midnight. The night auditor was helpful, friendly, and efficient. He found a room for us quickly. The next day we asked the front desk rep about downtown Gainesville. She directed us to the downtown area and suggested a restaurant for lunch, which was very good--Harry's Seafood. Breakfast was the usual LQ breakfast, but it was well stocked, even with a lot of guests.

Every employee we encountered was friendly and pleasant. We had a dog with us, so it was good to see La Quinta right off the interstate, but also fairly near the downtown. If we're ever staying in Gainesville again, we'll stay at La Quinta. At checkout, I asked if the front desk rep could find my old LQ Returns number, which she did find and added in our two nights.

Room was dirty, noisy, people were staying outside on balconies partying and smoking, vending machines empty, grounds, elevators and walkways unkempt, front desk often unmanned, breakfast room dirty, fruit old....just a bad experience.

I stayed at this hotel while moving from Las Vegas to The Florida Keys. I stayed at La Quinta the whole way thru. This location, although on the lower price range, was very clean. The beds were clean and well made. The room smelled nice and the water was clean. Davie, the manager, was incredibly curteous and hospitable. Every time I called to ask questions before arrival, I was greeted with a cheery voice on the other end. when I was finally settled, Davie even made a call to my room to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. Overall a great experience. Highly recommend for great value and hospitality!
