My husband and I stayed two nights in the Briar Rose room and were thrilled and so glad that we made this choice. The house is on a very nice, quiet street with several other bed & breakfasts on the same block. You can walk to some restaurants and shopping several blocks away-the location is lovely.
The porches are fantastic! Everything is decorated so well and the bed was comfy and sheets were very nice and soft, plenty of pillows. I could smell the coffee each morning wafting up the stairs...what a great way to wake up! Guest robes were provided, which really came in handy for running down the steps to get the coffee!
We made use of the gas log fireplace in our bedroom. I enjoyed sitting on the love seat in the large hall upstairs outside of our room while reading in the morning. There is a door in the hallway that leads to the upper front porch, which was a fun place to sit in the evenings. I enjoyed the wine that was provided each evening. Lots of thought went into making Camellia Rose a wonderful place of rest for the weary.
The food was excellent. Service was great and friendly.

Room Tip: Briar Rose is pink and is located in the front of the house upstairs, but the street is quiet. (I actually heard horse's hooves clopping along the street one night.) Briar Rose is near the door to the 2nd floor porch. The shower is absolutely incredible. There are 4 lower shower heads below the main shower head which can be switched on or off. There is a love seat a wooden rocker near the gas log cozy fireplace. Bed is queen sized and very comfortable-sheets are so nice.

This is our 4th visit to the Camellia Rose Inn and the title of my post says it all. It continues to be our most favorite inn. Pat and Tom do it right. The rooms are spotless, the beds incredibly comfortable and the hospitality amazing. No detail is overlooked. You are greeted with a hug like an old friend. And when you leave you cannot imagine not coming back to this place. The Camellia Rose is truly an exceptional place and Pat and Tom are amazing hosts. There is no place else in Gainesville we would rather stay.

Room Tip: You can go wrong with any of the rooms.

Pat and Tom, owners of this Bed & Breakfast are warm, wonderful and caring. They catered to our special needs. The breakfast was a delight, especially the pancakes with lemon sauce. Just amazing. The cottage was nice, as always and the bed was heavenly. We recommend this Inn to everyone who is looking for that special extra. Love you, Pat and Tom. We will be back.

Tom and Pat are wonderful proprietors and their home is clean and lovely. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Our bath had a very large jacuzzi tub with shower and pedestal sink. We spoke to Tom at length about the reconstruction of this wonderful old home and got an idea of how much sweat equity was poured into the Camellia Rose Inn. It is so convenient to downtown that we do not even take our car from the B & B district.

Pat and her husband were amazing. The rooms were meticulously clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Inn to my friends. It's only a 3 block walk to Starbucks and there's plenty of local restaurants to keep you busy. Thanks for a lovely stay!!

Jen

Room Tip: All of the rooms were wonderful, to be honest.
