Enjoy this place on a regular basis, especially the back courtyard. Lovely menu, great service, good prices. Go discover it.

“A great place for lunch downtown”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

This place has been around for a very long time. Best place to eat is on the back patio if the weather permits. One must walk through the gallery to get to the back and it is very tempting to stop and browse the wines and gourmet goodies one is passing. The menu is simple but everything we have eaten here was delicious. We would go more often if it were not so difficult to find parking.

“Be sure to try dinner”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

Now open for dinner a few nights as well as lunch weekdays, excellent moderate priced wines and well ripened cheese. Try the pizza and salad.

“Now Open for Dinner”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

So glad to see the Wine and Cheese Gallery open for dinner. I believe only Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, but they have only recently been open for dinner, so I think they are feeling their way on this and may be open other nights. They have a nice - albeit small menu, but with a good cross section of things to order. Many vegetarian options, but with plenty for carnivores as well.

I had a small plate - smashed potatoes and tomato gratin. I was good enough to lick the ramekin! Mashed potatoes with a layer of thinly sliced tomatoes in the center baked with a cheese topping. Their garden salad with romesco dressing was interesting. Used some nice herbs to give it a really fresh taste. Maybe watercress. The pizza looked fabulous, and the pork special was tender and juicy.

The service was very friendly and professional. They have a nice patio area in back. Sadly the weather was too cool that night, but inside was fine. A reason to go back, but didn't really need one other than the excellent food.

An unbelievable array of wine with a very eclectic food menu. Walking through the wine shop to the dining room beyond was an educational and exciting beginning to a wonderful luncheon.
