“What a Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Went with family for Thanksgiving dinner. Reservations a must. There was a set menu and it was delicious. Chef/owner Cliff and his staff hit the right note with service and atmosphere. The restaurant didn't feel fancy, but sophisticated in a way I had not ever found when dining out on visits over the years to Gainesville. Would love to try the Sunday Brunch.

“Pretty place downtown”

Very nice gormet restaurant in downtown Gainesville. Small and upscale and the food is excellent. Wish it were closer to our home.

“Perfect romantic dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Our 35th Anniversary dinner was celebrated at Paramount Grill. This is always our go-to place for special dinners for the two of us. We were not disappointed this time either. Always excellent service, atmosphere and food. The best "fancy" restaurant in Gainesville. Don't miss it.

“quiet elegant dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

This special occasion place is worth a visit. We drank several excellent wines by the glass from a very limited selection (many more available by the bottle.) The service was friendly and well-paced. Entree selection was limited but everything appealed. We split the beet salad, which had big square chunks of fresh beet and mozzarella, and followed with the fondue appetizer which was nice and didn't go overboard with the fresh herbs (so easy to do.) My quarrel with the fondue was the items provided for dipping. The chicken chunks were too large and too plain. I'm also not a big mushroom fan. Might have been better to offer some options for dipping instead of a set thing. The fondue itself was really delicious and creamy. I reluctantly passed up the duck breast because we could only handle one entree, but our mahi over black bean and corn enchiladas was beautifully presented and popped out with fresh ingredients which all worked well together. Dessert of a light chocolate nut creation a la mode was good but not to die for.
