We have had lunch during the week at this location twice. Both times the food was good. The fish sandwiches, fried shrimp and coleslaw were very good. The service both times was extremely slow! It took more than an hour and a half both times to order, eat, and pay. And the restaurant was not full or very busy. It is not a quick lunch! We had two different servers. Both were young, new and polite, but both were extremely slow bringing the food and never offered to refill our drinks (soda and tea). Plus, the servers collect payment at the table and that process was slow too. Not a fast lunch on a work day!

This seafood place is adjacent to the I-75 exit onto NW 39th Avenue in Gainesville, which is a location convenient to the Interstate but not to very much else. Surprisingly, for a highway restaurant, the quality of the food is pretty good. The jambalaya was tasty, and the andouille sausage in it was excellent. The fried tilapia sandwich was over-cooked.

Unfortunately, the quality of the foo is overridden by the abundance of TV sets. It was hard to find a table which was not dominated by a TV. Lots of TVs usually equates to mediocre food. Couple the TVs with the obnoxiously loud music, and this places lost two stars before we sat down. Probably the quality of the food will decline to match the ambiance, as time goes on. We will not be back to see.

George i am truly sorry to hear about your experience, but truthfully its ludacrous to say that TVs mean the food will decline, that sir is an assumption, and you know what assuming means right! That means you can see the future and if this the case can i have next weeks powerball numbers. that is not fair for you to go online and assume our food which you said was good is going to some how stop being good because we have alot of TVs. Last time i checked the TVs were not cooking in the kitchen. We take alot of pride in our food and we always will, and the noise is just part of when you have alot of people having fun in a building with a concrete floor. We built this place so people could go and have fun and eat and maybe not take things so seriosly, I see with most of your reviews that not many have made you happy. All i can say is i hope and pray you find happiness somewhere but i think we are going to still have the TVs and with a little luck be able to bring in the crowds that enjoy our place, for what it is, not what they think it should be.

Food was below par. "Boom Boom Shrimp" wasn't very good and a poor imitation. Sauce was homogenous and thick. Returned and ordered a different appetizer. Beer on tap was warm. Main dish was grouper. Forgettable. 2nd Appetizer came out after main course. Service was 1 out of 5 stars. Slow & forgetful. Bottom line - not enjoyable and don't plan on returning.

When you open the door, you are going deaf and need to yell to an inattentive hostess.
You are forced to dine outside if you want a peaceful diner.
On server for about 10 tables outside is not enough. So the service is bad but they don't forget to add a mandatory tip to your bill. Table of 5 and a child.
The food? I think the chef should go back to school.
The drinks? Lots of ice to fool you to a full glass........
The server: she was nice, she tried to do her job, she needed help.
Website not updated.......
And all that for my birthday!!!

Saw this restaurant as we were exiting highway for our motel and decided to try without consulting reviews. It was 6 pm on New Years eve and parking lot full. Had the pecan crusted catfish, delicious, husband had snapper and said it was fabulous. The pineapple upside down cake was unique and very good.
