Good food, great service. Kind of run down apperience, but don't let that stop you from some GREAT Greek food.

This is the only place we've found in Gainesville with gyros that remind us of the old Louis Pappas' restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. We always get them to go, so I can't comment on dining in but if you like gyros and Greek salads, give this place a try! We've never had a problem with our order and those in our family who don't like gyros have given thumbs up to their cheeseburgers.

Sandy's is a neighborhood bar/restaurant. It is a great place to go shoot some pool, have a beer and GREAT gyros!

We heard about Sandy's Place from a total stranger and we decided to go. We've been there several times since. You have to look a little to find it since it's in a strip mall. When you find it, you be glad you did. Great Gyros and Souvlaki Pops, Greek Salads, burgers and fries. etc. On Friday evenings they have all you can eat fried fish. Believe me, you'll have all you can do to get through the first serving and it is gooood. We haven't tried them for breakfast yet but I think it's not too far in the future. Good happy hour too.
