“great workout”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

there are stairs to go down into the sinkhole which is so peaceful and gorgeous... little streams all around you flowing into the sinkhole and signs giving you unbelievable information about the sinkhole. There is a nature trail that LOOPS! We just moved right up the street and come here for a nice workout. I love trails that loop so this place is amazing. It doesn't hurt that its right across the street from a starbucks so after a hard workout I like to get a green tea for refreshments

“A must see!”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

We have been visiting the Devil's Millhopper at least annually for nearly 40 years!! It is always a treat and different depending on the time of year. The ~250 steps down and back up :) are do-able. Our grandchildren love it.

“Dissapointed...”
Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

We had looked forward to seeing the sinkhole for some time and were not impressed when we got to the bottom. Although the area is absolutely beautiful the hype for the sinkhole is just that...

“An unexpected surprise”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

WE thought we were going down a typical sinkhole..Little did we know that within a few yards we would see an entirely different eco system than the one above ground. Ferns, flowers and trees that we had never seen before befuddled us. This is a must-see hidden gem in Gainesville.

“Hidden Treasure In Gainesville”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Devli's Millhopper is a huge sinkhole filled with a variety of natural habitats and ecosystems. 232 steps each way and beautiful, serene place to meditate or picnic at the bottom. Good displays at the top explaining the geology behind it. Also, a great place to exercise and much nicer than doing stadium steps at UF. :)
