“Giant hole in the ground with a bunch of stairs”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

Completely underwhelmed. The nice part is that you can take your dogs out here. The bad part is we have an 8year old English Bulldog with arthritis and, this is mostly my fault I guess, we didn't realize there are a million stairs. He is fat and we had to carry him back up. We thought it would be worth the trip to the bottom so we kept going - it was okay - but everyone makes it sound like its amazing and well not so much for us. I think it would be a great place to workout if you wanted to be outside because those stairs would be a big challenge. The only issue I could see is that it might get a bit crowded which would make working out there difficult since the stairs are narrow.

“What a big hole in the ground.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

If you have not seen a sink hole or even if you have, you must go see this one. There is a 232 step boardwalk to the bottom. Nothing but nature untouched by man. The 1/2 mile nature walk around the rim has small signs to tell you the species of plants you are looking at.

“nice place to walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

There is a lovely walking trail so it is not necessary to do the 200+ steps to the sinkhole. View from the top, amongst many varieties of trees was lovely. Too bad, the exhibit building was undergoing construction. Perhaps that is why the entrance fee was waived.

“Very relaxing place.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

I went there a month ago with a friend for the first time. It was a pretty good experience. The sights were very nice and you could feel the calmness in the air!... They run by donations so it is not expensive. We saw picnic tables and some stuff before that trail began. A really good place to get in touch with nature.

“Good exercise for your calves”

No doubt an interesting geological site-lots of plants, birds etc. Not to mention lots of steps,lots... not good for seniors or others who are not in good physical health. Bring mosquito repellent.
