We only gave ourselves about 1.5 hours and could have easily enjoyed double that but it was closing time. I'll be going back again to spend more time on the fossil exhibits and butterfly exhibits.

“Would love to go back!”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Went on a school field trip and LOVED it. I loved all the exhibits, the staff was friendly, the restrooms were clean, and overall it was just an enjoyable visit. It's definitely somewhere I'd take my kids.

“Did I mentioned it is free?”

What else can you ask? This is not some shady museum. It's a wonderful place to visit. If you visit Gainesville this is a Must in you trip. Have you ever seen a megalodon jaw in your life? They have it. What about a mammoth? They have it too!!! And it's all free. They do ask for contributions but if you have no money, no problem... Go enjoy the museum, is there for you.

Great place to go for a couple of hours. Great for everyone. Places to sit and rest if you need to and many hands on activities for children.

“Great for kids of all ages and FREE.”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

GREAT FOR TODDLERS. I have taking my kids to this museum for the past 12 years, since they were babies, and we never get bored with it. Its great for todders because they can't break anything. The museum is FREE. Some exhibits cost extra.
