The issue with this hotel wasn't that is was particularly dirty, but that it wasn't particularly clean. I think the biggest reason for this is that the rooms are dated, but does that really matter when you're just there to fall asleep? There was an old pillow case laying on top of the TV (presumably from cleaning and just being forgotten- an honest slip of the mind) and the toilet squirted water out and over the side of the bowl when flushed. There were a few spiders which, while they don't bother us to much, do put off a lot of other people and some cats were fighting in the parking lot all night scaring me awake with their screeching and hissing. Our room was in the back of the complex so a harsh orange light that lit the parking lot made sleeping even more difficult despite closing the curtains,
I will say that the people who worked there were friendly and it had the best rate for the weekend that we could find. The breakfast also had fresh fruit which was much appreciated as we went out to spend the day.
Honestly, if they clean out the shopping carts from the back lot, install new carpet, repaint some walls, and check out the spider issue, this wouldn't be a bad room for the weekend.
