Upon walking into this room there was a very strong odor of urine. Walking through the condo we first noticed a very large stain in the master bedroom at the door looks like multiple spots all concentrated in one area. Which is most likely the cause for the stench of urine going through the rest of the house the couches you see in the picture are riddled with stains including white stains which I'm sure you can imagine what that was. In the spare bedroom where my kids were to sleep I found a bug on one of the beds and the best part we found a Kotex pad underneath the bed. Yes people a feminine personal hygiene pad under the bed. We then called the owner of the condo and got no answer so we emailed her. She took 3 hours to get back to us. For 3 hours we didn't get anything out of our bags and we're just looking at each other wondering what we were going to do. When this arrogant owner finally gets back to us she tries to claim that nothing is wrong the smell is in our head she refused to refund our money so we could stay somewhere else. After arguing with this wretched woman for quite some time and sending her pictures of the filth she finally agreed to send the maid back out. When the maid got there she was beside herself And immediately agreed to change all bedding tried to get stains out of the couches to no avail and even returned the next day with a steam machine. Which made the smell go away for a couple of days but it did return 3 days into the trip. Needless to say I will never rent another condo from this woman again. On a side note most of this building island echoes is owned and maintained by resort quest those condos are nice and clean and updated and much better value for the money and when I brought up my concern to there staff about this room they were not surprised by my claims when they found out who owned the condo. This woman is the slum lord of the vacation rentals sitting back in Maryland not giving a crap.

We spent a lovely week here over our spring break. Okaloosa Island is wonderful: good restaurants, enough people to make it interesting, uncrowded beaches. We found this unit to be completely adequate for our needs. It is certainly not a luxury unit, but the price is right and it met all our vacation needs. The beds are comfortable, the view is gorgeous, the kitchen is completely serviceable, and it's a nice size for a family of four. We also really appreciated the keyless entry and no-fuss "check-in": just show up at the appointed time! The unit is on the fourth floor and has beautiful views from the balcony and the master bedroom. The pool is just below, so you'll sometimes hear the sounds of happy children playing if you leave the slider open (we didn't mind it a bit). There were quite a few families staying at Island Echos while we were there, but the unit was quiet. Overall, we were really happy. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a five-star review is the lack of laundry appliances available in the unit itself. Island Echos does have a coin laundry, but I don't enjoyhaving to deal with that on vacation. But it certainly did not mar our enjoyment! We would love to go back.
