My husband and I secured the exclusive use of the exquisite accommodations at Aunt Martha's in May of 2006 to host our wedding of approximately 50 attendees. We couldn't have been more ecstatic with the upscale Old Florida flavor that has been carefully cultivated in this one of a kind gem on the Emerald Coast.

As the bride, I found it extremely simple to add small personal touches to the decor of the Inn to make it feel more like a personal hideaway for our event. The house and grounds were extremely clean and well tended. We had food catered by Staff's restaurant (run and operated by the same family that runs the Inn) and the entire process from set-up to serving was seamless (the food was excellent).

This review is LONG overdue. My husband and I would like to thank Aunt Martha’s as well as the folks at Staffs for delivering an unforgettable experience for us as well as our guests.

I found this wonderful place by accident while searching for a B&B close to Fort Walton Beach. My husband & I would be visiting family during our anniversary and I wanted to surprise him. It is located right off of 98, within walking distance of downtown Fort Walton Beach. The closest beach is about 1.5 miles away (Santa Rosa Blvd on Okaloosa Island). Destin beaches are a bit further.
It's a little tricky to find the road as it is RIGHT next to Staff's restaurant. It's easy to miss the road sign if you're driving the speed limit.
This is a beautifully remodeled and refurbished period home. Huge back porch with swing, settees, chairs and tables - great place to enjoy your morning coffee. Huge oak trees all around. The porch overlooks the bay, there is a dock with a slide on it if you are so inclined to jump in.
The house is filled with books for your enjoyment, a chess set is always ready for that next game. The bed rooms are upstairs and all are very charming, clean, comfortable and large. There is also another sitting room upstairs furnished with TV, books, couch and chairs. The owner (Aunt Martha) also paints and her art is on display in each room. See if you can find it.
Breakfast is served daily at 0900; Sundays at 1000. What a spread! Fruit salad served with creme fraiche, peach cobbler, scrambled eggs, bacon just the way I love it (very crisp), french toast, OJ, Coffee and a cheese/crawfish/grit dish. All served on good Lenox china and a cloth napkin!
Aunt Martha also provides drinks for you (as in soft drinks and water) which she keeps in fridge on second floor, help yourself!
The beds are comfortable, there is a robe for your use and shampoo/soaps are provided. The proprietors are friendly but give you your privacy. I'm sorry we had only one night! But now I KNOW where they are! P.S. My husband loved it too!

I have stayed at Aunt Martha's B&B several times and am always disappointed when I can't get a room. It all starts with an email to Martha requesting a stay. She always remembers who I am - another plus. When you arrive, especially if you arrive late, they leave a note on the front door, letting you know your which room you have, how to get there, and that the key is waiting for you. Oftentimes, I do not see Bill or Martha until the morning when I go for my morning run or go down for the early AM coffee.

The B&B is absolutely beautifully decorated, is very clean, and is so open and hospitable. You never feel that you are intruding on the family (which is large and loving), even when they are having a family event. The location of the B&B is a little hard to find but once you get there, the rest of Ft. Walton melts away and you feel that you are on your own oasis. And the breakfast is to die for. Martha is a GRAND cook!

Actually, I was afraid to write this review, as I am so glad that I have found Aunt Martha's and don't really want to share it and take the chance on not getting a room when I want it. This is the best deal in all of Florida!!!

What a very beautiful new old home on the water. We loved our stay here and Sfaff"s excellent restaurant on the property was a real plus. Breakfast was an event with the beautiful china and silver and great food.

Our first trip to a B&B. We stayed because compared to the hotels in the area the price was amazing. We saved $80 during our 2 night stay there. Martha and Bill are very friendly and go out of their way to help you out. We are recommending it to our family when they got to visit our cousin stationed at Eglin AFB.
