This was a great break from the beach adventure. Great collection and interesting display to keep a 9 year old's attention. Outside visitors can see just how large these planes are. A must!!

“Lots of history, nice museum”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

My husband and I visited on a rainy day, so it was hard to see all of the planes outdoors. We were able to drive the perimeter & get a good view. What a collection this place has! We really enjoyed learning about the history of Eglin Air Force Base (watch the full film in the theater) and found it so fascinating to see all of the testing that is done here. The collection of military memorabilia and weaponry is astounding. We really enjoyed ourselves! Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. You can't beat the admission price either - FREE! I highly recommend it (even on a sunny day)!

“Wonderful Museum”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

A must for anyone interested in the air force or general history. This is perfect for all ages. Got my 10yo daughter a flight jacket and she adores it. Her friends back in London England think it's so cool. She has visited this museum twice and loves the planes outside and the displays inside. She took photos for her upcoming WW2 school project. This place is a treasure. And, it's free! Great rainy day (or any day) beach destination.

“Good for kids and adults”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Lots of visitors enjoy the aircraft. Kids can climb all over lots of the aircraft. Best enjoyed after the heat of the afternoon is subsided. A great tribute to our Air Force Base.

“Excellent Educational Facility”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

I had the chance to visit the Eglin Air Force Armament Museum twice and going twice aught to speak volume. Personally, I found this place to be pretty interesting and good for the entire family. It will hold your attention and give quiet a bit of history lesson. If you like jets and aero planes then I guarantee that you too will fall in love with this museum. Experience the aviation warfare armament from the early days of World War I right through to today's high tech planes and bombs. Inside, you'll find an extensive collection of weaponry and interactive displays that will amaze and intrigue. Outside displays include vintage military aircraft including the fastest plane ever built - the SR-71 Blackbird and many more. It's just breath taking. Come on and quench your appetite for technology.
Entry is free and you may give a donation at your will when leaving. The grounds are impeccable clean and well groomed. There is also a gift and souvenir shop at the point of exit.
