Could take a couple of hours to a whole day depending on how much you read and ask questions. Great museum and free entry. They even have the "Mother of all bombs".

Our kids love looking at planes and guns, so this was a great morning excursion. They really loved sitting in the fighter jet cockpits and pretending to dog fight each other. (so did my husband & I!) The museum was well maintained and up-to-date and the staff was very friendly.

No charge for this museum. All types of planes & armament outside. Inside more plus the history of Eglin. Make sure you see the movie. Might be too detailed for young children.

OK, so if you don't love planes, don't bother visiting here. If you like planes at all or you're interested in military history, its definitely worth the visit. Don't plan an entire trip around it because you can see everything there in a little over an hour. Its a museum so don't expect extravagant rides or any thing like that. Has a couple simulators though. Staff is excellent and in general people visiting there are friendly. Has a good overall atmosphere.

We decided to go to the museum for something to do while vacationing. You really can not complain-it's free! We had a good time seeing the guns/bombs/missiles on display. Both of my young kids enjoyed walking around outside looking at the planes & helicopters. This was a good experience for my children to see a little history & learn a few things. If anything, this place was a good reminder of the sacrifice & service of our Air Force. For me, it was very humbling & I appreciated the fact that they weren't trying to rake in money. But, more for a learning experience. Very much appreciated this place.
