They do the Mongolian Barbecue which is a plus. food and service are about average. This is the second time I have eaten here. it will fill you up but it is nothing to write home about.

The Panda Chinese Buffet is on the north side of Highway 98 just to the west of "downtown" Fort Walton Beach. If you're coming from Destin, just stay on that road and watch to your right for an oriental style building - you can't miss it. The Panda is the largest Chinese Buffet in Fort Walton and the menu is exactly like every other Chinese buffet you've tried. However, they have some extra things that make a meal enjoyable. The sushi bar is very good as is the "Mongolian Buffet" where you pick your stuff and the fellow stir-fries it for you. The buffet is standard Chinese like all the others anyplace in the world but it has a few extra things you may not have tried like frog legs and broiled baby octopus~!! They also have boiled shrimp and raw oysters but be careful about those. It's dangerous to eat raw oysters these days. They also have steamed crab legs but the pan is small and when they refill it, the legs are quickly gone. They do not refill it often so you may not get crab legs during your visit. Keep an eye on the crab leg pan and go for it when you see the refill tray come out. The dessert and salad bars are very good. Panda is a good restaurant to visit for something different. Many locals (like us) regularly eat there.

Panda China Buffet was closed twice in March 2014, by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation health inspectors, first from March 3/4 and again on March 13.
The restaurant was closed because of roach activity, according to the DBPR.

We went there based on local recommendations. It was so-so. Wide variety in the buffet selection. The food was good. The facility could be kept up a little better. Price was okay.

Took my wife, grandson, his wife and my two great grandsons to eat here. Was here a couple of years ago and we really enjoyed it so we came back again. We weren't disappointed. There are so many different choices and different cuisines. There are approximately 6 or 7 steam tables, each one about 20 feet long with just about everything you can think of, even pizza! I had several different items, all of which were very good. There were also many different deserts. Price was nominal and service was good.
