Walk out on the pier for $2 per person and you'll get a wonderful view of water birds, the surrounding coast, the local fishermen and perhaps a dolphin or 2. Actually we saw a group of 4 come near enough to get a pretty good peek before they cruised on out of sight. It might be a lot different on a windy day, but luck was on our side and it was just a ripple or so above a big bathtub. Wonderful way to spend a couple hours. If you got kids, well they see it quick and can be bored square in about 20 minutes. Parking is not a problem. The pier is at south end of pier road just off Hwy 98. You can enjoy that whole beach area without paying anything. The pier is $2. for walkers from the bait shop on out. A very nice thing for a morning outing.

Beautiful views for sure. It's a great place for Fall/Winter sunrises and sunsets. It does cost to walk out onto it, but please do. The pier could use a little TLC and clean up. Clean or dirty I will still visit often. I hope others do too.

This is a large concrete pier, it is a nice stroll if you are careful of the fishing rigs being thrown off while you are walking.

I love to walk on the pier any time of the day. The sunsets are spectacular but the view is tremendous any time. I don't fish but many people do, I like to go to the end and breathe in the sea breeze and watch for marine life.

Although the pier costs $2 to enter as a spectator, this is a small price to pay. During our visit, we saw 3 turtles, storks, gulls, and an assortment of Anglers that were more that glad to show our teens their catch or toss bait so that we could see the storks eat. We were even treated with the Blue Angels flying over as they were at their base in Pensacola for practice. As our visit was in the evening, the sunset was AWESOME. The 13 girls never complained that they were bored and laughed at the storks antics. If you want to fish, it's just $7.50 and you can rent gear on the pier.
They sell snacks on the pier or you can dine at the attached Angler's restaurant.
