We were given the name of this restaurant and discovered it was not easy to find...set back on some streets away from the tourist traffic. I ordered a grouper(not blackened) croissant and was so pleasantly surprised. The croissant was light and melt in your mouth but that was not unexpected since this was a French Restaurant. The real surprise was th egrouper which was so light that it literally melted in your mouth. I would say that it was the best grouper I have ever eaten...and I have been in Fkorida since '68. It is a very simple restaurant located right on the Santa Rosa Sound almost underneath the bridge. Outdoor seatingis available, but it was a hot day.

This restaurant has been a favorite of ours for years. The cuisine is always outstanding, as is the service. It is off the beaten path by a few blocks, but is well worth visiting. One can either dine inside or out on the spacious deck, with a beautiful view of Choctawhatchee Bay. Weather permitting, the deck is the unanimous choice of patrons. Chef prepared meals and desserts, along with the unbeatable view, guarantee a very enjoyable, relaxed dining experience.

You won't find any advertisements for this place. You either know about it or you don't. Food is always delicious, thanks to Julian! Our waitress is always so very nice without being overdone. Love the patte and shrimp pasta!

Basically French fare. Been around quite a while. Small, no frills, but a lovely view across Choctawhatchee Bay. (Boats, dolphins, pelicans.). Obscure location in a neighborhood almost under the Brooks Bridge. We went recently with visitors and dined on the dock - there is almost always a nice breeze off the water in the evening. Sit outside unless it is raining - they have fans for the heat of the day. The wine list is exceptional but I often enjoy just a glass of the house wine - way above average for this area. We ordered two Grouper Wellingtons (in puff pastry with a lobster sauce), the duck in cherry brandy sauce, and a Chilean Sea Bass special. All delicious. We gawked at the Veal Chop special in mushroom reduction as it passed our table. The house salads and fresh crusty dinner rolls are perfect accompaniments. My favorite appetizer is the pâté, but the escargot in puff pastry is also recommended. Another good entrée is the Amberjack Muniere, which is also available on the limited lunch menu - but I'm pretty much stuck on a cup of gazpacho with their wonderfully airy and light french-style omelette. Servers are knowledgeable and adept. Occasionally they may be understaffed, but have another glass of wine, watch the sun set, and wait it out. It is well worth it.

There are very few French restaurants on the Emerald Coast. So to find one in Fort Walton Beach was a pleasure. I have had both dinner and lunch there and both meals were excellent. If the osso bocco is available, it is highly recommended. For boat owners there are several slips for drive up dining. Definately a must if your visiting the area.
