“Best birthday lunch!!”
Reviewed May 14, 2013 via mobile

My boss took me here for my birthday! We went for hers a year ago and I have just wanted to go back! I love their salads they have every veggie you can imagine on them! The French onion soup and the carrot ginger were fabulous!! And the desserts were soo good! A little pricey but well worth it!!

“Worth finding!”
Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

This place is tucked away by the water, but is worth the effort of navigating the winding streets to find it. There is a lot of great seafood on the menu, and the service was superb. This place is very much "you get what you pay for". No, it isn't cheap, but the quality of food and service, plus the location make you understand the prices. We saw dolphins playing in the water, and a Great Blue Heron trying to eat a fish that was WAY too big for its mouth during our lunch there. Also, it is one of the places open for lunch on Mondays, which several restaurants on downtown Fort Walton Beach are not.

“Quaint”
Reviewed April 5, 2013 via mobile

Nice small place. Inside and outside dining. Cool and overcast, chose inside. Right on water. Prices are $10to $20 for early afternoon. 2 pm. We had crab salad and seafood omelet. Very tastey. Good homemade bread. About 15 menu items
(Entries, salads and sanwiches), large wine selection. 6 or 7 desserts and 5 specials .
Was glad with our choice

“Beautiful place, wonderful service”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

My husband and I went there for the first time this week. We entered to see the most beautiful and sweetest hostess I've ever seen. She clearly had everyone's back when the waitress and waiter got overwhelmed and constantly checked on us. Our waitress was very helpful with figuring out the unique menu and finding the perfect wine to go with the meal. Everything was perfect and we will be back very soon. The atmosphere is perfect with the food, wine and service!

“Great food and location”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Bay Cafe is tucked under the bridge and the outside deck is lovely -- sit and watch the herons hunt for food and watch the boats go by. The food is very good -- much better than most area restaurants that rely on huge portions of fried stuff. Our family enjoyed fish, salads, sandwiches on croissants, and chicken picatta. All very good (the fish was a tad overcooked). It was no more expensive than a typical beach town restaurant and the service was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.
