“Exceptional”

My husband and I have eaten there several times lately and we rave about the talented Chef Dan. Every meal is wonderful, and the low lighting, low noise atmosphere adds to the overall experience. What's for dinner tonight? Jennifer L

“Chef Dan and his wife know how to do things right”
Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

We had lunch in downtown Fort Walton Beach. It was tough finding the restaurant amidst the tall palm trees. Maybe add Christmas lights to the Oak tree to create a focal point. It didn't help that their jewel of a restaurant has only one L in the name. It is Mulhollows not Mull! Tripadvisor needs to fix this, but how?

“Quality, Pride and Ownership”
Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

We were pleasantly surprised by this find in Ft Walton on Hwy 98. We were there for lunch but the menu was so interesting we did not share as usual. We had the gumbo and the crawfishh chowder. Normally I do not care for anything crawfish, but the chief extra cleans his crawfish to remove the muddy taste I normally find in such a dish. We then each ordered a wrap. They have a shrimp poorboy and a blackened mahi wrap. Both were very good. We were blessed that our server was the chief's wife and therefore an owner, a real sweetheart as we say in the South. The bistro is owner operated by the chief and his wife. One thing that made the wraps special is that the chief lightly grills the wrap before completing the sandwich. It removes that doughy taste a wrap often has. One would say it was even crisp. The fish and shrimp were very well done and tasty. The meal is followed by complementary warm chocolate chip cookies. We will return to try more of his creations.

“Always a Treat”

Great place to eat. Food and service was fantastic, and the view is nice- seeing the hustle and bustle of FWB "Downtown". Well priced, and the food was prepared beautifully. A good choice for an evening with couples.

“Fanciful feast in a relaxed environment”
Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

We came here for a Valentine's day meal. it was price fixed and well worth the price. Food was presented very nicely and tasted great. Our server was fun and very attentive even though they seemed short staffed.
the best part of the meal was actually their olive oil blend and moist rolls. We asked for seconds on them:)
the meals themselves we're great- I had the lamb and my man the almond crusted grouper. The dessert was amazing and I don't even like chocolate mousse: tuxedo cake.
The only thing I would say was this was a special occasion meal so it was meant to be fancy. Had this been another night and we wanted a fancy 4 course meal, I would have wanted Cuvée bistro but they were booked. For a local place, probably the best in fort walton that we had the whole trip.
