“Very Disappointed”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

Reading previous reviews, we thought we were in for a treat at a very nice restaurant. We were wrong. There were two occupied tables when the four of us arrived, yet we were seated at a corner table beside the open bar. All the bar supplies, old freezers, cardboard boxes, etc. were in plain view. The decor in one word -shabby.

We were given a menu with no mention that the entire menu was not available. Three of us picked sandwiches. When the waitress asked for our orders, she said sandwiches were only available at lunch. The menu didn't state this nor was there a time listing the availability of sandwiches. There were only eight entrees. As the waitress stood waiting for us to decide what to order, I asked if there were any specials. Only then did she tell us about an additional entree.

Three of us ordered the grouper Florentine and one got the special, a German pork dish. We were all disappointed. A salad comes with all entrees. It was good as was the roll.

I'm not sure if it's just the two places in Fort Walton Beach where we've eaten so far, but both had plastic table clothes and both has a license to only serve beer and wine-no liquor.

Tonight we're going to try a restaurant in nearby Destin. Stay tuned.

“How did we miss this place?”
Reviewed July 9, 2011

We wanted a special meal for our last night in Ft. Walton and this place was perfect. We started with the mud bugs which were crawfish tails dipped in batter. They were plated on top of remoulade and we ate every little crunchy bit. For our meal I had the New York strip steak with grilled asparagus. I also ordered the blue cheese sauce to go on it. My husband ordered the grouper with soft shell crab on top. Our son had the chicken strips which he are all of and didn't even offer to share. We were actually surprised at all the good choices for kid's meals. For dessert with had the chocolate wontons. Everything was amazing and we will be going back there again. The next time it will be our first stop instead of our last.

“Hard to find but great spot for some good food.”
Reviewed July 8, 2011

They are NOT located on main street. They're off hwy 98 in FWB just west of Perry ave at 215 Miracle Strip prkwy. Pull into the parking lot that has "toot sweet" sign and it's across the lot from Adonnas bakery.
Food is very good service friendly and good as well. I would come back and recommend to friends.
Bought the cheese plate with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes and the blackened grouper. Enjoy them both and it was more food than I could eat. Fresh delicious tomatoes!
