Just visited this Museum. I found it very educational. they have done a very good job here. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and informative. I was surprised to see a display here for "Rudy" from Survivor. I know he was a Navy Seal but had know idea of what a great service he did for the US.

“Neat place - would like a little more”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

We went here on the recommendation of a group at the farmers market up in Vero Beach. The museum is in a lovely location on the coast just north of Ft. Piece. Admission was $8 for adults and honestly I'd didn't really feel like an $8 attraction as there were only three rooms and not a TON of content. I didn't really mind because its the Seals and all....but it just didn't seem like an $8 thing. You might spend an hour here and easily get through it. It was interesting to read about the origins of the underwater demolition teams and see pictures from the origin of the unit right there in Ft. Pierce.

It's a good work in process and could benefit from some more recent contributions. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. We would have gone out to enjoy the beach, but it was a very windy afternoon!

“Worth a visit”

Amazing people, those Navy Seals. It is unbelievable what these men go through to become a Navy Seal and how varied the missions that they perform. Also, there is a great beach located behind the facility. The beach where the first Seals were actually trained for WWII

“If you are near Ft. Pierce or Vero Beach this is a 'must see'!!”

While spending a month in a Rental condo in Vero Beach 2 years ago we discovered the Navy Seal/UDT Museum and just loved it.
We came back to Vero in Feb. 2012 and immediately put the Museum on our 'to-do' list and visited our first week here.
Wow - never a disappointment. To our suprise they had expanded the Museum with a huge addition and installed many new exhibits and brought indoors some the exhibits that had been inside.
The new section also includes a great Gift Shop that helps support the facility.
Every exhibit is extremely detailed and you can easily spend a morning here.
It starts with history of the first "Navy Frogmen' and runs right up to today's operations in Afghanistan including a diorama on the Bin-Laden mission.
They offer various short movies as well as talks by Guides who are retired Navy Seals.
Definitely worthwhile and real tribute to the Brave Soldiers that give all to keep us safe.
Love it!!!
