“Outstanding 2 hours”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

Our visit was most enjoyable. Every aspect was coordinated and completely organized, so we were kept busy and involved during the entire tour. Shari made an excellent presentation, and included some interesting "tidbits" about the citrus industry both past and present. After the tour we had time to enjoy the gift shop and just look around at all they have to offer. We purchased some of their "Honey bells" for our daughter and son in law previously via e-mail, and they were so well received that we jumped at the opportunity to see where they actually come from, since we are vacationing in the area.

Hi Folks - I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour and all that you learned about the Citrus Industry. I’m glad to know that the fruit you ordered was so well received that you came to take a tour, just so you could see where the fruit came from! Thank-you for your input and I hope you'll stop by the Big Red Barn for some fresh squeezed orange juice whenever your travels bring you back to Florida.

“Citrus learning”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

We did a tour of the citrus grove, packing and shipping.. It was very interesting and educational, Shari did a great job. We ate there afterwards and it was wonderful. Brought food and citrus home with us. Loved it and am thinking about taking my home ec girls there for a field trip.

Sounds like you chose the "Lunch Tour" with lunch at our Grill after the tour, and we're glad you found the food to be 'wonderful'. Thanks for your encouraging words. “Tour and lunch”

The tour was very well organized and informative. It's worth taking the lunch inclusive package. After the tour we had plenty of time to look around at the gift shop and our lunch order was ready and hot. Recommended ***

“Interesting and Informative”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

If you are in the area, this is a worthwhile stop. A good one hour investment which gives an overview of the history and size of the citrus industry in Florida. Interesting and tasty to learn about the different types of fruit, how it grows is harvested, sorted, cleaned, packaged and shipped. A few sales pitches, but that goes with the territory!

“A Florida Bucketlist”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

We took the tour which was very informative on citrus as well as history of the packinghouse. Kudos to the tour guides Sherri and local native Chrissie ! Both were quite courteous ! The OJ Corral is an interactive area - great for kids and adults, also. We had eaten from the Mexican portion of the menu (enchilada, burrito, rice and refried beans). Both were really good and value priced ! (Menu includes breakfast items and variety of lunch items such as BBQ, angus burgers, homemade pies ,etc. ) Since we are local , we'll go back to eat again! This is a highly recommended stop for a couple hours when in the area.
