Owner description: Our focus is on displaying ecosystems as complex communities of organisms interacting in their environment. At the Marine Ecosystems Exhibit, visitors can explore six different Florida marine habitats and learn about the complexity and importance of marine ecosystems. The largest aquarium is a model of a Caribbean coral reef. Other displays include living models of seagrass, mangrove, estuarine and nearshore habitats, as well as a deepwater Oculina coral reef. There are several smaller aquarium displays and a touch tank where you can meet some of our local sea creatures. Feeding Frenzy tours daily at 10:30am and Snack Time tours daily at 2:30pm. Behind-the-Scenes tour Saturday at 2:00pm.

“Informative”

We got to the aquarium at feeding time and were given a tour where our guide told us many interesting facts. I enjoyed it a lot, but it was a bit crowded and hard to see what the guide was talking about until the crowd moved ahead. It would be best to go at a less crowded time.

“Very Small”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

Don't go expecting to see big wonderful aquariums. It might be a good place to kill and hour but not really worth the trip in itself. There was one big aquarium in the front. I suggest see that and leave before you have to pay the $4 to see 6 or 7 other small tanks.

we went here last month.. though its not what we expected to be we had fun.the place is small but they some amazing sea creatures plus the amazing friendly staff.. if you are a fish /ocean creature lover the staff gave some histories and backgrounds about the creatures that they have.. at 1030 am they have the fish feeding and some lecture so its good to catch that too.. if you love buying souvenirs they have it too and its cheap...

“Absolutely loved it!”

Beautiful small place to enjoy. Loved the touch tank. Run by adorable friendly staff, mostly volunteers. A must see for young children to help them appreciate our oceans. Plan on a return trip every year on our florida vacation.
