This is a beautiful area with a walkway that takes you out onto a fishing jetty. We have observed dolphins, manatees, rays, and pelicans while spending many hours enjoying the ocean and inlet views. As New Englanders I am remnided of walking the cape Cod Canal every time I visit the inlet.

The area is on the shore with a lovely wallking area. The day we were there they had a craft and food fair. It is a short walk to the manatee center.

We spent an afternoon here. Walked the beach, photographed shore birds, collected shells, had a picnic lunch, photographed a box turtle, watched the boats and fisherman in the inlet, and had a very nice time.

I wrote recently about not being able to walk dogs on inlet and was told by an over zealous police officer it was against the law. Since then we talked to other police officers and they said its OK. So we have been walking him from time to time.

There are few pedestrian paths, and short at that. However, walking in the ocean was pleasant since the temperature was agreable (68F) and the slop was real slow. Rather small but offers many opportunities. We saw people surfing (at least trying to), boating, fishing, swimming or simply soaking up the sun on the beach with kids. For a place to let the kids work off some energy (under supervision of course) this would be ideal. Well worth the fee of 6$, unless one is hoping for hiking opportunities.
