“This Hotel is a True Value and a Gem”
Reviewed March 2, 2010

We had never stayed at a La Quina before, but saw very reasonable Senior Rate online, so called as we traveled and reserved a room for the night. The young lady at the desk when we arrived on January 29, 2010, was most pleasant and helpful. The place was very clean and we were impressed with the beautiful lobby filled with Japanese decor, and the pretty breakfast room. Lovely! Our room was a nice size, pleasantly decorated and very clean. It was a sunny day, so we enjoyed the pool for an hour or so. The pool is thoughtfully placed outside to the west of the hotel so you can enjoy the sun in the afternoon. It was a great start to our Florida vacation. We are on our way home now and have stayed on many hotels since the end of January. This La Quinta Inn was by far the prettiest place, excellent service and best value. Highly recommend!

We decided to take a quick trip to Florida to see some sun and get away from the snow. We chose this hotel based on the previous reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel is located on the west side of Ft. Pierce between the Turnpike and I95, but is only about 30 minutes from the beaches and golf courses. There are several empty business buildings in the area but the hotel is in a nice quiet spot off the highway and many great restaurants are close by.

The entire hotel is very clean and the staff was wonderful. The rooms were insulated well enough that we did not hear our neighbors. We would definitely stay there again! In fact, due to a mechanical problem our flight was canceled and we were put up in a Hilton Garden by the airport. The rooms had the exact same layout but their bathroom was smaller and it was $60 more (the bed was softer)! There is a small but adequate fitness room and a beautiful outdoor pool with lounge chairs and tables. The business center has two computers but one is very old and very slow. There is wifi in the rooms and my husband had few problems with his laptop.

We stayed in Room 103 which had a king size bed, microwave oven, decent sized fridge (I put a gallon of water in ours with room to spare), a desk with chair and a side chair with ottoman - that being said there was plenty of room. The only downside to the room was the bed was so hard it felt like a table top! Since we were there for six days by the end of our stay both my husband and I had back aches. The breakfasts were decent - I've had worse, I've had better, but often the hot food - bacon, sausage, gravy, eggs, etc. were not very hot. We would take the food back to our room and warm it up in the microwave.

We would definitely recommend this hotel.

.The hotel was physically beautiful, however it seems as if it isn't run very well. During our 4 day visit, each morning was a fiasco with the breakfast bar. the coffee machine, toaster, heating table and lighting, were all on the same electrical circuit, so when too many people used those appliances, a blackout occurred. Which in itself wasn't too critical, but the response was. The breakfast attendant tried her best with absolutely no help from management. Management was non-existent for whole period of our stay. The attendant brought out an extension cord and proceeded to alternately plug in the coffee machine, then unplug it to plug in the toaster. How does this continue for 4 days. Supplies were not replenished in public bathrooms, supplies to the room were sparse. Questions to the front desk were met with shrugs, and replies that they'd TRY to ask management about them. Where was the maintenance person. At checkout, the front desk person was doing double-duty as the breakfast bar stocker; hence, there was no one at the checkout counter for 10 mins at a time.... resulting in a line at both areas. Was there not enough personnel? I think not. The rooms were clean, hotel was clean
Hotel has a business center, but both computers were old, one more so than the other, which resulted in slow-to-very slow loading pages. They still have floppy-disk holes in them. Beds were uncomfortable, and pillows were poor, but numerous.

Problems happen everywhere, but no one to deal with them is unacceptable.

Positive note: Fort Pierce is a quiet town with varied things to do. Navy Seal Museum, small, but interesting. Wildlife areas nearby, and shopping plentiful. 1 hr approx. to West Palm Beach Airport. 100 miles approx. to Miama

We stayed at this hotel after reading some of the other reviews, and made our reservation for 3 nights, which gave us a very affordable rate. Before we got there, we thought we would stay for the 3 nights and try to find somewhere different, maybe out on the island. After we were there for a couple of nights, we decided to extend our stay for the duration of our vacation. This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff did an excellent job, even though they have limited English vocabulary. The rooms were very nice, with comfy beds, flat screen tv's, larger the the norm refrigerator, microwave, and elegant wood sink stands. The service at the front desk was very good, and they always greeted you when you walked by. The rooms were very quiet, we really couldn't hear anyone in the hallway, and only heard the door to the next room a couple of times. The only thing that could use a little more attention would be the breakfast. We would have liked to see more items, including yogurt, and of course fresh fruit, and real Orange juice, not Tampico. We would stay here again, and probably will.

Stayed here for just 1 night whilst on a road trip around Florida & US. Stumbled across it after looking at rooms in some of the other nearby motels. Knew we were staying here as soon as we walked in. Got a good walk-in rate with a coupon. The girl on the front desk was very nice & professional. Arrived at around 2PM so after seeing how nice the room was decided to stay in & relax. Ordered Chinese & watched TV. The twin room was really very nice, clean & comfortable. Didn't get breakfast included in the deal so can't comment on this. Otherwise highly recommended.

What a deal this place is. Booked for one night for only $53 w/ AAA discount. It appears to be a new hotel that does not skip a beat. Super clean spacious soundproof rooms with w 38 inch high definition TV. My room had a fridge mcrowave, granite counters in modern bathrooms etc.... I have paid double for inferior hotels, so this is one of the best deals in East Fl. as far as I'm concerned.

Free internet, nice super clean fitness center, wonderful breakfast etc..

La Quinta rarely dissapoints me and this is typical for the chain.

BRAVO!!
