What a wonderful experience staying at Diamondhead! Everybody is pleasant and helpful. Rooms are great and the accommodations are teriffic!
The pool is right on the ocean side and is well kept and has a friendly atmosphere.
A newspaper at your room door every morning is a nice welcome touch. Linnens are very nice and not on the cheap side.
Diamondhead makes your stay at Fort Myers Beach well worth the trip and makes your vacation truely a pleasure. They know how to pamper you. Food is very nice both in the lounge and Chloes rest. prices are reasonable and service is very good.

sitting on your balcony whether facing the gulf or overlooking the pool is relaxing. Great place for couples, young families with kids and also the Sr. set.

There are chairs ,towels and umbrellas out front by the bay as well as water sports if you so desire.

We stayed on the 7th floor out of 12, beachfront room. Great view of beach and gulf. Room was above avg quality, had a few nicks and scratches but overall in good shape and everything worked. Staff was great, maid service great, loved the pool area, used the cabanas and chairs every day we could on the beach (extra charge for those). Internet webpage price was better deal than going with any other source for us. The lighting in the entire hotel was too dark for us, especially the hallways which are very dark. The room was comfortable and quiet for the most part, except for lots of fan noises from the restaurant when it was in operation, and noises from other balconies in the hotel. We ate in the restaurant, Chloe's, once, and it was pretty good, quiet and romantic at sunset. Overall we enjoyed our stay there, but we think there may be better deals and places in Fort Myers Beach so we are going to check out other hotels in the future.

We spent 5 nights at Diamond Head and had a wonderful time. It is a solid hotel with a good location. Easy to walk to many restaurants which is a big plus given the gridlocked traffic. When our first room was on a lower floor than we cared for (& the hotel booked solid on night #1 due to a conference) they were accomodating and moved us to a higher room for the next 4 nights. Friendly and helpful staff.

Check-in was friendly and efficient. Wireless access in the lobby was slow. Did not pursue dial-up access in the room.

I stayed in 1209, arguably, the best room in the place...top floor looking south-to-southwest.

Upon arrival, there was a sand footprint on the couch, the tile floor was so dirty my feet turned black. There was a gap between the tile and the carpeting in two places that caused the carpet to turn up and could possibly trip you up if you walked around much at night.

The screened porch was wonderful! That, the sound of the water and the view were the only reasons I didn't check-out and go the GullWing or Point Estero for the next 2 nights.

The room-service personnel left my door open one afternoon, I was lucky no one robbed me.

I won't be returning...the pool and jacuzzis were nice. Parking was good, location of the hotel fine. You will spend time in a long line of cars if you travel south during the day and return north in the afternoon.

Be careful how you book your visit, the price is different depending on the method of booking, the internet price direct was the cheapest, cheaper than their 15% off for repeat customers if you call.

We stayed over Christmas weekend at the Diamond Head Resort and had a relaxing time. The rooms are spacious and clean. We loved the big private screened in balcony. We were on the 5th floor and still had a wonderful view. We thought the food was pretty good. We mostly ate lunch and the pool side grill and loved the Grouper sandwich. The pool and beach were great. The hot tubs were hot and working well. The beach was nice and clean and not to busy in our area. I liked the street side of the hotel with grocery store with in walking distance and little local shops to browse through. The emergency system is great at this hotel as somone decided to pull the fire alarm the last night were there. The alarm was clear as a bell and there is a narrator that explains the evacuation route. Fire trucks were there before we could get to the bottom floor. If you have a family with small children I would also recommend this hotel.

These are condos and not a hotel. So each room may vary. The room we stayed in was a beach front/pool view room on the second floor (206). There is a wonderful view of the sun rise. The pocket door handle between the master and the bathroom was broken and the bathroom sink did not drain. The front desk had it fixed on our schedule and was very helpful.

The beach was very nice and easily accessible. However, you have to rent chairs & umbrellas if you do not want to use a pool towel to sit on.

The property had a bar & grill on site. The service was good, the food below average.

The property had a restaurant. The outdoor dining area overlooked the pool and ocean. It seemed very nice, though we did not dine there, choosing to go out.

Fort Myers is a tired community. Diamondhead is THE nicest property in Fort Myers. The restaurant hosted two Christmas parties in the 5 days we were there. The music was loud and continued well into the early morning hours.

Would we go back? NO. We will check out a property on Captiva or in Naples the next time we decide to stay in the area.
