The place is nice, the rooms are clean. It is kinda beach front, you have to walk about a quarter mile to the water. My only issue with the place was that the A/C's in the rooms are the wall A/Cs. AND THEY ARE SOOOOO LOUD! it kept on going off and on when in auto- and there was no way to leave it on the whole time. That kinda sucked since we didn't get a good night's rest the whole time we were there, at all. We even had the maintenance guy come in and check it out, it was unusually loud... and we are not light sleepers :s
Aside from that, everyone was really nice, there is a nice size fridge in the room and the pool is heated. There is a really nice movie theater close by where they serve food while you watch the movie, called the Beach Theater.

Room Tip: Pick the 2nd floor, away from the pool. The cleaning ladies have really loud carts and you can hear everything inside the room, including the people in the bar across the pool. Check the A/C for loudness as soon as you get into the room!

The main purpose of my trip was business but I wanted to try to have as much fun as I could at the same time. That meant finding an affordable hotel with the location I wanted which I found at this Holiday Inn, it had a great price and great location right on the beach. Everything else I got with it was an extra bonus which all exceeded my expectations. Everyone was super friendly, there was a great bar with good food, it was clean, and quite - everything I could have asked for on a business trip/mini vacation.

Hotel is old but survives because of its location, wonderful outdoor tiki bar
and service. Older facility but if you plan to use the room 'just to crash'
its very serviceable

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We agree with you that the Holiday Inn Fort Myers Beach does have alot to offer like a great location and great service. Our pool was just resurfaced in September and we just remodeled and expanded our tiki deck in October. We are continually upgrading our property as well as our rooms. Thank you very much for choosing our property for your stay.

What a great location! Staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the bar area where there was live music on Friday but it did not go on too late and the did not effect us in anyway dispite us going to bed early!
A few steps and we were on the beach which was clean and viewed great sunsets from!
Bar and food was really good.
Can't wait to get back and stay again!

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor if you have problems climbing the stairs.

We went here for a birthday weekend and it was perfect! Our room was located facing the tiki bar and the pool. Music played all weekend, everyone was having a good time, we met wonderful people. The motel personnel were very attentive and helpful. We were able to sit right outside of our motel room door and be in on all of the action. The music stopped at 9 or 10 pm, so there was no interruption of sleep. Shops, great restaurants, and beautiful beaches all within walking distance.. We usually stay at the north side of the beach so, this was a big change for us. The age group here was a little older than at the north end of the beach which was great for us. I can't wait to go back! Clean rooms, a beautiful pool, and nothing but fun!

Room Tip: Ask for a room around the pool/tiki bar area. Always something going on. Music all day and evening on weekends. Not quiet, but that was exactly what we were looking for. A great mini vacation!
