This hotel was AWESOME. My husband and I went with our 3 children ( 2 young adults and our 9 year old). The room had 2 king size beds with a great sleeper sofa. The beds were comfortable and pillows were "smushable". All the rooms face the ocean and have balconies for you to sit on.

The beach was fantastic. We found wonderful sea shells of all colors, shapes and sizes. The water was at the perfect temperature. The water isn't cleat at the Caribbean but we didn't care once we walked into the surf.

This was the only hotel that I could see who set up umbrellas and chairs every morning for you to rent, which was important to us. You could also rent a Sea Doo and small sail boat right there.

Thanks for the great review. The Mini Suite that you stayed in on the second floor is just perfect for families. Looks like you were able to enjoy everything that we have to offer.

This was our 2nd stay and it was just as great as the first. Romms are well appointed, very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool was really nice. We were there in mid august,so tourist season was almost over and the beach was empty. Great view of the ocean from every room. We will definitly come back. Thank you Best Western staff.

We have stayed here many times. Often at Christmas, as will be the case this year. Recently renovated (with rate increase to match), it is a little different from the usual beachy resorts....there is a grassy shaded area, a barbecue, shuffleboard (which is dominated by kids in the summer). Ocean facing....best place to stay at Ft. Myers Beach...walking distance to wildlife park, pier, and Times Square.

Room Tip: Always get an upper floor for best ocean view, best not over the pool. Mini suites are on ground le...

Spent 4 nights in July and this hotel was very good for us 2.

Direct access and view to the beach, free park, free wifi and free breakfast. Room was on 5th floor and had a balcony with chairs.

Hotel and facilities are nice, pool is really warm (maybe too much in the summertime), garden outside is well mainted. Frontdesk staff is firendly.

The improvements to make are to train better the breakfast staff as they were totally "away" and not helpful at all. Tables were not properly cleaned.
The TV is too small and the A/C is very loud. Room size is rather small for the USA.

Otherwise, a good place with nice seaview. Not cheap but ok. We will come back if in the area again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor room

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend and the stay was fantastic. The service was very friendly. The room was nice and clean. The property was well maintained. Short walk down the beach or sidewalk to the shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!!

Room Tip: All rooms face the ocean. I would stay level 2 or higher.

Not sure why one of the recent posters said the beach was nasty, perhaps a bad tide at the time. We visited in July and the beach was GORGEOUS! Lots of nice shells and the sand was soft. Never saw one dead crab. The water is definitely NOT as clear as Sanibel/Captiva which I will agree is much more scenic and better water. But there is NOTHING to do over there after dark. If you have kids think about it. There was no water smell while we were there.

Rooms were just fine for our needs, especially liked the small kitchenette as we liked to eat in the room at times, either our own or food from the comp breakfast. Overall we enjoyed our stay and felt like we had the best of both worlds. Water sports right on our beach, and a quick drive over to Sanibel/Captiva for the beauty (did that 2 days of our stay). I will admit the front staff could do a bit more "greeting" of patrons when walking by. They seemed to just ignore me instead of saying a pleasant good morning or hello. Otherwise this was a perfect "in between" place to stay. At night it was a short walk (either on the beach or the sidewalk) to Times Square with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Our favorite meal however was a short drive down Estero to the Fresh Catch Bistro. Pricey, but the best Mahi Mahi I've ever had.

Room Tip: Plan at least one day trip to Sanibel/Captiva Islands, nominal cost for parking and some of the beac...

The reviews on the property are 100% correct. The rooms are newly remodeled with great amenities. The property is gorgeous, with a beautiful lawn, palms trees and pool area. All rooms have balconies that face the Gulf. Walk across the lawn right onto the beach. Even the common areas, such as breakfast area are beautiful.
Only concern was the lack of an air conditioning vent in the bathroom, but leaving the door open when not in use, and turning on the bathroom fan, when in use, solved the heat problem.
We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Ask for upper floor, so your view of the gulf is not blocked by the palm trees.
