“Wonderful”
Reviewed August 8, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely home. Very clean, great location and I especially liked the sliding doors that open onto the screen porch. The doors slide out of site opening up the entire living area to the outside. Easy walk to the beach, very quiet neighborhood.

“Enjoyable stay in quiet neighborhood, seven minute walk to beach.”

We rented the unit from the last week of Jan. through the first week of March. For the price the unit lacked some amenities. It needed a patio table and chairs on the lanai. Some of the windows would not open due to being old. The unit was clean and well equipped. I would recommend this vacation rental for less than $200 a night, shop around, many units available in the vicinity that include a pool, use of bicycles in this price range.

Management Response
Mar 13, 2016
We respond to our guests’ texts, emails and phone calls promptly and welcome constructive criticism. An example is the request from the guest who wrote the review for help with linking his electronics to our TV. We communicated by phone and email, and the problem was solved. As a result, we now have a tech expert on call to more quickly meet the special needs of our guests.

Specifically, in response to the concern about adding a table and chairs on the lanai that overlooks the bay - we have chairs with attached side tables and other chairs available in the house or garage for placement on the lanai - enough to seat six. The lanai has pocket doors that can be opened to extend both the family room and master bedroom, a feature we love about our home. Our approach has been to not place furniture on the lanai that would obstruct the view and possibly break through the screening in the event of high wind gusts off the bay. We see no good reason to make changes to our furniture arrangement.

The guest also mentioned the windows being old and not able to be opened. We have 34 linear feet of sliding glass doors and over 240 square feet total of windows and screens, which are easily opened to allow air flow throughout the house. When we are there, we find that we rarely need to open additional windows, but if there is a problem, our maintenance person is only minutes away. Plus there are 4 ceiling fans for circulating interior air flow. Most importantly, a new state-of-the art air quality system electronically provides constant, ideal climate temperature and humidity throughout the house.

We now realize that our pictures of people riding bikes on the beach could be unrealistically misconstrued by some visitors as our providing bikes. We have suggested places where bikes can be rented in our Guest Handbook. Also guests have had success renting beach bikes from near-by Fun Rental Bikes (239-463-8844) without complaint and at fair prices.

Our pricing has proven to be competitive. We anticipate the needs of our guests as our goal is for them to enjoy our home as much as we do. Thus comfort, cleanliness, and responsive customer service are of utmost importance. For those who appreciate our unique home and location, price is not an issue and we see no valid reasons to make changes.

“Perfect vacation place”

Owners were wonderful in contacting us with details and making sure our stay was the best possible. Short walk to beach where several dolphins were spotted. The time of year we went Dec 27 thru Jan 3rd appears to be a very busy time in Ft. Myers beach area. We ended up renting bikes so we didn't have to wait in long lines of traffic. You can ride bikes on the beach which was very nice as well. Grocery store is a mile away and we found several wonderful restaurants thanks to the advice from the owners. Would definitely stay here again.
