This place is the worst place I haver stayed. Over priced, mildew smelly rooms, no internet and they rent to young drunk kids. I would have given it 0 if I could but had to rate with at least one. I would have been better off sleeping on the park bench.

DO NOT stay here if they put you in the front of the hotel....very noisy! 2 bars right across the street and very loud. Request the back rooms if you must stay. We will never stay here again. The parking is very tight in the daytime.

Room Tip: Request the back of hotel.

We stayed here in The Cottage. It was the perfect location! Walk a few steps to everything! Yet quiet and peaceful at night! Sat out on patio every night. Saw a dolphin swim right by back door! Staff was excellent and always friendly and helpful! You will not go wrong here! Thanks again every one at Shipwreck!!

We will be back.... so much fun staying right in town where you can walk everywhere!! The store has everything with great prices. The beach is just down the street, 2 pools plus there is a back bay. Restaurants are close by and very good

My wife and I go to the Fort Myers / Sanibel area every year. The traffic is terrible and the motels can get very expensive for what you get. We love this little place because it's right on the water, a block from the beach and right in the middle of all the action. It's not a Holiday Inn or other chain motel, it's privately owned and operated by a local, American resident (a rarity now-a-days.) Personally, that means a lot to me. Anyway, the place is clean, nice and comfortable. No free breakfast buffet or any of that, so don't expect any of that "chain stuff." But you can go to the beach, have dinner and a drink and WALK back to your room...I love that!
