Such a delightful place to stay, friendly and helpful welcome from Connie , Axel and Valerie.
We stayed in an upstairs suite with lots of room and very attractively furnished and presented.
Nice extras like a magnifying mirror in the shower room, essential as you get older! Also there is a great laundry room which was so helpful after travelling for a couple of weeks. It was a joy to sit on the balcony and look out on the attractive dock, with lots of trees and shrubs and wildlife to observe. There was a lovely heated pool below and loungers looking out on the dock.
Breakfast was comprehensive, with fruit and boiled eggs as well as the usual drinks, toast and bagels. It was the same every day, but if you want variety there are plenty of places within easy walking distance if you fancy a change.
MBI is tucked away at the back of the main street/beach area and so is very peaceful but central.
The music from the local bar always stopped at 10 o'clock.
We walked to Bowditch Point [ 15 minutes-there are trams ] to enjoy a beautiful sunset, had a relaxing day on the beach [ 5 minute walk ] and spent a wonderful day at Lover's Key beach and park where we saw 4 manatees playing in the water, dolphins fishing in the shallows and we collected beautiful shells. Bliss!
The only downside to Fort Myers Beach was the traffic-we were there near peak time-but with Axel's helpful advice we managed to avoid most of it and had a wonderful week.
Our thanks to Connie, Axel and Valerie for being such charming hosts and having such a special place to stay. If we return to the area we would certainly stay at MBI again.

As always the team at MBI continue to improve, clean , tidy and as always a warm welcome. A small location with a fantastic friendly feel, well done all yet again. Breakfast I note takes some harsh comments from others, what mor do you need for breakfast, tea, coffee, juice, fruit and taost plus other bits on a daily basis. At the end of the day you can always skip the FREE breakfast and walk or drive to any of the local suppliers, $20 plus for a couple for a standard breakfast, free for your stay at MBI , sounds like an easy choice to me!

Room Tip: Book early or you will not get a room, room 5 and 6 are very nice and have a significant view.

Nice place to stay. Conny and Axel are very helpful and friendly. The proberty ist clean and a footwalk away from all the restaurants and the beaches. The rooms are spaceious with a huge fridge, mirowave and a stove. Breakfast is ok, nothing special. Nice overview to the dock from the terrace and the balcony. Two little pools. Comfartable sunbeds.
We stayed across the street in a room of a neighboring building. The room, specially the bathroom, is outdated and the Kingsizebed uncomfartable. If somebody turns around, its squeaks horribly. Its hard to get sleep.
If you are sitting on the terrace you look towards a big wall.
We payed the same price like for a room in the main building, not a good deal at all. By booking make a confirmation for the main building

Room Tip: Only rooms in the main building

I stayed 1 night in this place & it was gorgeous.
Axel & Connie are lovely (glad they were around when I locked myself out on the balcony!)
My only negative point is that the balcony was not private & apart from a little piece of wood it was pretty much open season with your neighbour. Luckily for me my neighbours were a lovely German couple also passing through who were great company.

This is the kind if place where you punch yourself to make sure you're not dreaming that view :0)

We stayed for 2 nights. The location only walking distance (3-5min) to Fort Myers Beach North and next to a marina is beautiful and convenient. Rooms are with living room and full equipped kitchen and balcony or little terrace facing the pool and the marina with a wooden deck with sun chairs. Breakfast was good although not the greatest of our trip in terms of choice.
I would definetely come back and if then stay probably a few days longer.
Like the thought of being able to cook your own food if you like and fed up with eating out and dine with the sunset above the marina.
Staff including the owners are very friendly and helpful. For a small fee I was able to do use their washing machine and tumbler as we came from a 2 weeks trip.

We booked (and paid for) several nights at this Inn several months on advance of our trip. They were friendly and helpful. However, at the time of booking, I asked them specifically whether the reservations could be cancelled since our plans were uncertain. They assured me that we could cancel up to thirty days in advance. But when we did have to cancel, they deducted $33 as a "cancellation charge." When I protested this via email, I got no response.

The Inn is in a wonderful location, right in the heart of the action. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable, will all the facilities you could ask for. We stayed in the upstairs room with a balcony, the view over the inland waterway was lovely. With 2 pools and ample decking on the waters edge you can while away hours watching the 'jumping fish' & the 2 osprey's who spend hours in the trees watching us watching them. A short walk and you are at the wonderful beach and there are superb bars & restaurants everywhere, Nellies & great, walk upstarirs to Uglys where it is happy hour all day! The Yucatan grill is great & so is Petes. Try the amazing ice cream in Kilwins! Connie & Axel are lovely hosts and their lovely free breakfast is worth getting up for. Highly recommended to us, we will strongly recommend anyone to stay here, but don't fill the place up when we want to go back!! ENJOY.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have great views
