While looking for a place to eat dinner, we pulled in to park in the lot next to Top O'Mast. The DJ on the deck walked over and told us that we had to at least stop in for a drink if we wanted to park there. I'm pretty sure this is one of their only opportunities to get business as the place was empty inside and out. We sat on the deck and the waitress took our drink order while telling us how she was tired and just wanted leave for the night. When she brought our drinks back she was friendly, very talkative, and full of recommendations of other places to go for better food and drinks. We quickly finished our drinks to pay for our parking and headed off to eat and drink at another place down the street. Later another business owner explained that Top O'Mast is one of a very small number of establishments grandfathered into a license that lets them sell alcohol on the beach. As a result they make all they money doing such and put no effort at all into the actual property. This is really unfortunate given their fantastic location.
