“Great beach front spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

I stayed here last week with my daughters. The inn is clean, rooms are updated ( yeah, the comforters could use an update, but the bathrooms and kitchenette were new). The 2 pools provided a nice option from the hot beach. Lounge chairs were free, and there was many, except the coveted shady spots under a few palm trees. People wake up at the crack of dawn and "save" their spot, which is very annoying, but understandable. Umbrellas and more shade would be very welcome. Beach towles were provided. While relatively close to the center of the town, this place was very quiet, even on the weekend. The only bad part of the trip was the horrible water pressure. We needed to use a coffee cup and the facet to rinse the soap out of our hair. If they are trying to conserve water this tactive does not work - I had the faucet on full power for 10 minutes while I tried to rinse myself off. If the shower had adequatre pressure I usually take > 10 minutes. The beds were ok, but the piilows were flat as a pancake and were terrible. Overall we had a great trip and this place is a good value .

My husband and I just got back from spending 3 nights at the Neptune. It was great! This is one of my very favorite beaches, very family friendly and laid back.

The last time we'd stayed at the Neptune was 23 years ago and were anxious to finally get back and see if it was as good as we'd remembered when we use to take our son when he was little. Well, it was. It has been well maintained with friendly and accommodating staff.

We stayed on the 3rd floor of the North wing.... We had a fabulous view and lots of privacy. Great balcony, nice little kitchenette with a great shower and bathroom set up off the bedroom. Only complaints were the HARD foam pillows and the uncomfortable couch in the living room... no real comfortable place to sit and watch TV. But the view more than makes up for that.

Next time, I'd probably not take a 3rd floor room.... there is no elevator and it can be tiring to drag stuff up to the 3rd floor. I'd request the room on the 1st floor at the end of the south wing. I don't think any of the rooms would be bad though.

The pools are nice. Plenty of lounge chairs to take to the pool or the beach. Beach towels were also furnished and easily exchanged. Restaurants were easily accessible...we went to the Heavenly Biscuit across the street for breakfast and the other diner for lunch. Everything was walkable. We also enjoyed afternoon drinks at the cottage on the beach. This place is great for families, couples or others.

I would definitely go back. The Neptune is as good today as it was 23 years ago... although it is a bit pricey.

Room Tip: Heavenly Biscuit across the street was good for breakfast.

Neptune staff was very accomodating and friendly. View from our beach front balcony was wonderful and private. Georgous sunsets! Wonderful, relaxing, mini vacation. Mini store in office has "breakfast items and foods to microwave" if you choose to stay in. Plenty of beach chairs but no umbrellas. Located in a more quiet area than closer to down town,

Room Tip: Take your own beach umbrella and spring for the beach front with a balcony! Pools were nice and cle...

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great view! Within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, ect. Grounds are well maintained and clean. My only complaint was there was no outside hot tub. Good rate on room. I would definately stay there again.

It was the last night of our road trip heading home. We wanted a beach experience & our night at The Neptune fulfilled all our expectations -- clean room, comfortable bed & a glorious sunset on the beach. We weren't there for very long and want to go back & spend more time. Lots of good restaurants were recommended by the helpful checkin staff.

We booked our weekend stay at the Neptune Inn due to a recommendation from friends and I was happy with the choice.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is nice and clean with 2 pools and other amenities and it's on the beach! It is also located close to restaurants and shops
What a beach! Big,wide POWDER SAND beach which felt like you were walking on powder.
I recommend this hotel and its location

We only spent a couple days at The Neptune last year but we are going to spend a week this year. The location on the beach is great with a fantastic view of the ocean. The staff is great, the room was nicely furnished, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There are some very nice restaurants within a short walk. The only negative you will find is at some point you will have to leave.
