“ONE OF TOP GERMAN RESTAURANTS”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

If you enjoy authentic German foods, you have to give this one a go. The foods were prepared with knowledge and skill that comes only with a genuine love of cooking. The Chefs were on the mark with spicing and authentic German taste. My wife and I have traveled the world and have not found any German foods that compare, even in our home state of Minnesota.

“As good as it gets”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

Lured by the comments of other reviewers, we stopped by Heidi's for lunch. It is as excellent as the other reviewers have said it is and a welcome respite from the usual beach food. We had jaegerschnitzel from the regular menu and a pork goulash which was the special. They were exceptionally good. Full from our meals, we carried out some of the pastries which have been given rave reviews here. They were wonderful. We were greeted warmly when we entered; seated in a very clean and well decorated room with pleasant music playing in the background; waited on by a welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient waitress; and served good portions of succulent food. This is definitely a place we will visit again soon.

“Looking for good Schnitzel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

I had read the reviews about this place, and wanted to try the schnitzel. It is not my husband's favorite type of food, but he took me there for lunch, as we had wanted to assess the red tide situation to decide if we would be able to get a beach day in the next day. A small, friendly family run restaurant with American food such as burgers and wings round out the menu. I had the Wiener schnitzel with fries which was good, and freshly made to order. You could see and hear the pork being pounded. My husband ordered the daily special, a smoked pork chop with sauerkraut and home fried potatoes for $6.95. My husband likened the chop to being a bit like real Canadian back or peameal bacon, without the cornmeal, but I did not really see or taste the resemblance. The potatoes were good, as was the sauerkraut. They had some amazing looking baked goods for dessert, but we were too full to indulge.
