We had a wonderful stay here. The location is directly on the beach and the beach is very nice here. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The courtyard setting is very relaxing. We also liked the fresh coffee that was ready at 6:00 am every morning. Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who likes a nice quiet place to relax.

We just return from a wonderful stay at the Sandpiper resort. We stayed in the north tower. Our room was large with a fully furnished kitchen. Full size refrigerator. The balcony was huge with a fantastic view of the gulf. The resort has the softest sandy..trust me, we walked the beach many times during our stay and the Sandpiper was the closest to the beach and had the best sand. I love the fact that you could just walked out the door and be on the beach. For those that love to hunt for shells, you can also find a great assortment at the shore line. The ocean water was mild and shallow so you can venture out into the waters with out fear. Right next to the resort was a water sports facility that also provided the chairs and umbrella. I rented chair/umbrella on several occasions. The person was also helpful about their tours and rentals.

I definitely would recommend this hotel for families and couples. I can't see it as a party resort.

Room Tip: The north tower does provide an elevator. Definitely need to stop at the grocery store (which is r...

The staff was knowledgeable of the area attractions and dinning and offered coupons or discounts to many places. We didn't meet anyone on the staff that wasn't super friendly and happy to help with anything at all. The resort was clean and beautiful. The room was comfortable and clean. We loved that it had a full fridge, microwave and two burner stove top. The beach services were excellent too. They are right there on the beach by the resort, ready to hook you up with chairs for laying out or set you up for adventure on waverunners, parasailing... we did the waverunner dolphin tour, it was great. The Shelling on the beach was great. You could walk one way find all kinds of shells and on your way back there would be more. The sand was soft and the beach was beautiful. We loved it.

Room Tip: We had a courtyard, ground floor room and loved it. We thought we wanted a room with the balcony, b...

Quiet and relaxing weekend!

We were in a beach front building on the first floor. I had meant to ask for a higher (3rd floor) but was glad I didn't. The patio is extended on the ground level. Ate dinner on the patio and watched a perfect sunset. Our room had two double beds and a foldout couch. The full refrigerator was a definite bonus to me. One quick trip to the grocery about a mile away was all I had to make. Room was plenty big for three of us. Most time was spent on the beach or on the patio.

Front desk was very helpful. Asked about delivery and were provided with various menu's and discount cards.

A full sized coffee pot is in the room. However, coffee is served every morning outside of the office. We simply filled our coffee pot there and returned to the porch for the morning dolphin watch. Newspapers are also available.

We did not request housekeeping as we were only there two nights and did not have the need.

We opted for 3 chairs and no umbrella. Price was still the same great rate as the 2 chair/Umbrella set up ($13). On the Panhandle I am used to paying $25 a day for the same set up. Chairs are rented by a beach service bordering the property. They also rent jet skis (they had a blast), paddle boards, and parasailing.

Great price for what you get! I will definitely go back to this little BRIGHT yellow oasis!

Room Tip: Beach front rooms are truly beach front!

We were looking for a 4 day-3 night break from work. This was perfect. The beach has the same remarkable, fine quartz sand that Siesta Key near Sarasota has; it's cool to the touch (even under the mid-day sun) and heavy enough so that it never blows around. The room was really a suite with kitchen facilities and ample space. The bath and suite was completely clean. There were families with children of all ages, but there was no disorder or undue noise. Fort Myers Beach has a honk-tonk bar scene in the north which cedes to a more family oriented atmosphere with resort buildings and single family vacation houses farther down where this resort is located. A Publix supermarket is 5 minutes away by car or bike.

Room Tip: Court view rooms are less expensive but just as close to the beach.

The location is perfect. The sand is like baking powder and so chrystal white that you need sunglasses.Wonderful beach but very expensive beach chairs! We had a crazy expensive Beach front apartment, 3rd floor. The view was stunning and the sunset from the terrasse was unforgettable. The apartment was very spacious and nice. We didn't need AC at all because there was windows in both ends of the apartment so we could create a breeze. There was a small family pool but not so suited for small children. We really like the apartment and if we come back to Fort Myers we we spend 3-5 days here again.

A few negative things: Housekeeping wasn't so great. The bed making was terrible (Sheets "curled up"). In this price range you could maybe-maybe not expect a little service with the dishes? Not allways a refill of toilet amenities. No elevator ! So you must be able to carry your suitcases to the 3rd floor.

And if you want to go anywhere: expect traffic jam ANY TIME OF THE DAY/EVENING! You just go a few meters up the road and you are stuck in an endless line of slow moving vehicles.
