If you drive, be prepared to look for parking at this hotel. They cater to the patrons at the Tiki bar more than the hotel guests. Everyday we had to drive around looking for parking and even had to pay to park our car. If you have small children, they don’t offer cribs/packn’plays (they don’t have them), also the limited channels on the tv don’t offer any cartoon channels, (if you like sports, you’ll be in heaven, as that was what the majority of the channels where). The rooms where out dated, the carpets were NASTY!! The lock on the door didn’t work right. The kicker was the spot light that was pointed right into our room and didn’t turn off until midnight. The pools where dirty and I couldn’t even let my kids enjoy it because of all the drunks that where around there. In short, never again will we be staying there!

I can't believe the owners of this place have the nerve to call this place a resort.
A true resort has many amenities not just a bunch of small rooms overlooking a very small pool but that's what you get here in addition to the incessant noise coming from vehicle traffic over the bridge.
The night we went to the Tiki Bar, it was impossible to get drinks due to the fact that only one bartender was servicing the multitude of patrons.
When we finally found an open barstool and tried flagging her down for a drink, she became annoyed and replied "the line was over there."
Over where?
How about a smile and some gratitude that we are spending money there?
Oh and by the way, the management of this place should stop being cheap and spring for another bartender on a Friday night and fix the terrible video feeds going to the flat screens.

Room Tip: Select a room on the opposite side of the bridge.

We spend a week here for a family vacation. Had the deluxe studio, 2 bed with kitchenette. Rooms were outdated and not great. Carpet was ripped and nasty. dressers were disgusting and old, very worn. Our 4 burner stove only had 1 working burner. The toilet was broken, and had been for some time since the maintenance worker had already noted it. It never was fixed.

Worst part of all: THE NOISE!!!! The windows are awful. The tiki bar was so loud and the karaoke sounded like it was in our room. We heard trucks backing up early in the am, motorcycles leaving from a night of partying, and people were working on the landscaping. The sliding glass patio doors are TERRIBLE! They don't close all the way and are not centered which means they drag. You could hear them being closed all night/morning long. Awful!!!

Cleanliness: not terrible but I've seen better. Blinds and windows very dirty. Did not walk barefoot at all because it just didn't look clean on the floors. Bathroom and sink were ok. Fridge was cleaned but clearly had been punched by a previous guests as you could see knuckle marks.

Only positive was it was close to the beach and the tiki bar. ALL THEIR MONEY GOES INTO THAT, not the rooms/amenities. Pools were so-so. Nothing great but could have been worse I guess

Room Tip: "DON'T CHOOSE THIS HOTEL TO STAY AT, just visit the bar if that's what you are looking...

I don't know anything about the hotel. However, had a great time at the Tiki bar on a Sunday seeing as though it was the only place to watch football with full NFL ticket. Great beer selection. Well run. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of TV's to catch whatever game you want to see. Would definitely visit again!

I wish I could review the Tiki Bar separately because we did not stay at the Lighthouse Resort, but stopped in at the Tiki Bar on a whim after seeing it from the street. The first time we stopped was a Friday night. There was a band playing, and the bar was jumpin'. Seemed like a mix of locals and tourists, but it was pretty crowded, very loud and many patrons were quite drunk. We had a decent time, but I doubt we would have returned if it weren't for the football game on Sunday. On Sunday we couldn't find a single place that was showing football on NFL Ticket. Come to find out the Tiki Bar is just about the only bar on the beach that shows all the games. The place was packed with fans from across the country (tourists) all decked out in their team's gear and huddled around their respective TVs. The bar had all the major games showing. It was very busy but a great atmosphere to watch the game. We drank beer and ordered pizza which was also very good.

I CAN'T SPEAK FOR THE HOTEL BUT THE TIKI BAR WAS A FANTASTIC PLACE TO WATCH NFL FOOTBALL ON GAME DAY.

I visit Fort Myers Beach often. This is the 1st time I stayed here. I was disappointed with the room, as it was old and dirty. I've been told rooms are different, depending on what area of the hotel you're staying. I wish I would have known this. Don't stay in a standard room. These are the older ones. There's newer sections of the resort that are supposed to be better. I would hope so! I like the central location and the tiki bar is fun and serves food.

Room Tip: Get the rooms in the newer section. Built in 2005.

Th accommodating at this place is pretty basic, the decor was from the 1970's, the taps were rusty, door didn't close properly, TV was ancient, but it was still a fun place to stay. The beds were comfy and the rooms were really large. It has a great tiki bar which was hilarious with Karaoke and dancing etc, we stayed in there until 4am as there weren't really any other bars around, but it was a great laugh, full of locals and people that were staying. Would recommended it for a one night stay, more than that and the other things i mentioned might become an issue.
