“Don't like the tip begging”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

Didn't catch much fish and the begging for tips was getting annoying, especially since the cost of just going on the boat to fish was on the high side!

“Horrible Charter Fishing Experience”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

I don't usually post anything but ... Ive been deep sea fishing for over 30 years. We just went on a charter trip today and it was absolutely the worst experience. The bait wasn't fresh, there was a ton of smokers (hell, the captain was even one of them) and far too many people. I went in a group of 4 and we only caught 8 fishes all day. It wasn't that the fish quantity was limited that bothered ne because days like this happen, but more of the quality and size. They were no bigger than bluegill fish in fresh water and the captain is so dumb sitting in the same spot for over 45 minutes when no one was catching anything. There were other passengers complaining as well. He then proceeded to go down slighty along the reef basically fishing off the same spots.it's been my experience that when fishing isn't going well, the captain would at least attempt to go off in another remote location to see if fishing would improve. We stopped at a total of 3 spots that were very close to each other. The largest fish caught was a grouper at 13 inches I also thought there were far too many passengers on the boat. It's really sad that we had to spend the money on this and not get even a fraction of our moneys worth. I will never recommends this charter to anyone and we have a condo on estero boulevard here in fort myers and will be telling everyone not to go there.

“One of the best parts of our week!”
Reviewed January 4, 2012

Went on a half day trip with family, 7 total including the captain. They took us right to the fish. As soon as we put our lines in the water, you were already getting a bite. The captain was awesome, felt very comfortable asking question, and he didn't make you feel bad if your line broke or got tangled with someone else's :) Caught over 40 keepers, which he filleted as soon as we got of the boat to cook in our condo. Great experience!

“A reasonably priced day on the water and lots of fish”
Reviewed November 18, 2011

The captain and crew do a great job of finding good fishing spots, baiting your poles, unhooking and even cleaning your catch. We averaged 7 nice fish each, The taste of fresh fish is hard to beat. We travelled almost 25 miles into the Gulf looking for good fishing spots. If you are expecting to sit in a bucket seat with downriggers chasing trophy sized marlin and swordfish, then this is not the place however

“All-day fishing experience the whole family will enjoy!”
Reviewed September 10, 2011

We enjoyed a reasonably-priced all-day (8-hour) fishing trip. All six of us caught several fish; nothing large, but still fun.
Captain Tony's provides everything including license, fishing tackle and bait. No fishing experience is required. They help bait the hooks, unhook your catch and show you how to catch some fish.
This is Florida in the summer, so it was very hot and humid. Be sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, and a cooler with your snacks and plenty of water. There is a limited refreshment selection available for purchase. Feel free to bring some cold beer also.
The two mates and Captain were friendly and helpful. They will also clean your catch if you wish. Be sure to tip generously.
The boat is about 70-feet long and will hold at least 60 comfortably. There were about 35 on this trip. I didn't notice anybody getting seasick.
The cost was $310 for three-adults and three-teens with a discount coupon from a local publication.
You can make a telephone reservation without a credit card, so there is no penalty or hassle if you cancel for any reason. Call a day or so ahead to reserve your space.
Non-fisherman are welcome also at a reduced rate.
